English Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
Thank you for this wonderful recipe. I used to mak homemade english muffins while we lived in Florida, but misplaced the recipe. I agree that they are simpe to make and make a huge impression on those who would never attempt home baking. My granddaughters will be so thrilled to help grandma make these from scratch. They are delightful and so easy. Rdais013

Delicious Egg Salad for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
This is exactly how I've made egg salad for over 45 years, and I can honestly say that I love it, as did my husband. As a matter of fact, this is what I prepared for my dinner last night. Deliscious on toasted Pita!RDAVIS012

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
Can this bread be baked in a large bread pan? What would happen if I did not cut the "X" in this bread? I baked this and added 1/2 currants and 1/2 golden raisins and was deliscious, but having cut the "X" in my round loaf, it just kept getting a biger and biger gap in the center. I want to bake some for my neighbor and for my daughter and her family. Rd013

Sweetheart Cupcakes

Think I might just bake these in my granddaughters' school colors for the next bake sale. I know they should go over pretty well at any school. RD013

Quick and Easy Mexican Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2010
wonderful! My favorite thing about this recipe (other than how delicious it is), is the fact that , being a widow, I am able to modify the amounts, usng the exact ingredients but in the lesser amounts, and have a wonderful meal for just one. This, to me is very important. Thank you so much .RD013

Mom's Turkey Sausage Patties

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
For years, I've made my own sausage . Using spices to suit your own taste is an excellent bonus. This is just perfect. My husband was always very fond of the sausage gravy served over biscuits, and this works beautifully, minus all the excess fats. Wonderful recipe because you can season and then freeze in serving sized portions. Thanks for sharing! rd013

Brussels Sprouts Stir Fry

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
This recipe reminds me somewhat of the Irish "Bubble and Squeak" that is so delicious. Rather than criticise someones recipe for lack of salt, why can't you just add salt and pepper to taste? Most people do anyways. I think this is a beautiful and very tasty dish. Thank you so much for one more thing to add to my recipe book. I'll enjoy it often.

Has anyone tried using this as a basting sauce on spareribs? Thinking of doing this this weekend. Sounds wonderful to me. Only giving this a four until I try it with the ribs. Can't wait.
