Never Fail Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2012
These were great, I used butter flavored crisco, and due to others saying they were not browned on top I brushed melted butter on the top, before bakin, I also baked at 425 because my oven is small and gets hotter than most ovens, happy with this biscuit, it did take longer to brown so next time i will bake at 450

Sorry, it was too strong a flavor for me, too spicy, after I added a cup of water it was better, I needed water to go with that tomato sauce

Beef Pot Pie III

This was good, but I miss the potatoes that they use to put in the frozen pot pies so I added a can of diced potatoes and that made it perfect

Hash Brown Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
I used a 20 oz. bag of hash browns with onion & peppers , so I cut the rest of the ingredients in half except for the sour cream, i used 1/2 cup, that was enough, I could really taste it, I don't like my food to taste sour.and topped it with crushed potato chips, next time I will try the mushroom soup, I think that would be more to my taste, it was not soupy at all, very thick & filling

Amish Friendship Bread Starter

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
I was given a bag of the starter for the amish bread, I made it , it was very good, but I forgot and used a wire wish, did not hurt it at all, I gave 3 bags of starter to friends and they also had great bread, i think the amish just does not want to use metal, and the reason you burp the air out of the bag makes a difference, if you don't it will spoil. i read somewhere on here that you let the air in, it is to let the air or gas out
