Southern Fried Cabbage

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2014
I'm well past 65 and had never had fried cabbage. I had never even heard of it until I was searching low carb recipes. We shall be having this on a regular basis. I agree with many other reviewers. The next time I will not add the extra oil and I will at least double the bacon. This is a very good side dish.

Garlic Chicken Stir Fry

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2014
Very good and easy to make. We felt it needed more spice of some sort. It just needs a tad more to become a five!

All Protein Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2014
My husband is very picky and asked that I not make this again....but I'm sure with a few changes it would be ok. I used 93% lean beef and it was just too dry.

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice II

Reviewed: May 21, 2014
I loved this!!!! After reading a lot of reviews I knew this was a keeper. I added chopped carrots and chopped water chestnuts and a lot more soy sauce - personal preference. I did add an extra egg as well. Hubby wasn't impressed but that won't stop me from making it frequently! Edited to add that I used garlic pepper instead of just pepper and used sesme oil instead of vegetable oil. Just had some reheated for lunch.....love this stuff!

Breaded Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2013
Prepared exactly as described last night, other than cooking it in my electric frying pan. Tender, moist and very flavorful! Today, I had the leftovers cold and dipped in ranch dressing - again, excellent. thanks for sharing this recipe!

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2013
Made this for the second time. Again, Excellent! This time however, I lowered the heat and stirred the heck out of the sauce as the cheese was melting. I cut back on the butter as well and this time the sauce was smooth (did I mention excellent????) FIRST REVIEW: Excellent! I prepared exactly as stated and loved it. I did add broccoli to the pasta as it cooked and cubed ham to the sauce just before serving. It really was wonderful! I have a question and hope someone here can help. While this tasted excellent, it looked awful. I couldn't get the cheese sauce smooth. How do you get the cheese to thoroughly melt so that the sauce is smooth???

Simple Chicken Brine

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2013
I used this with skinless drumsticks and then fried as I normally would. My husband said it was the best I've made so far and that while it still wasn't like what his mother used to make (ARRRGGHH), he would like to have it again. I thought it was great!

Summer Hummer

Maybe if I had used a different brand of lemonade or tried pink lemonade as "roseannking" did, it might have been better. Just didn't like it.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2013
Very good and very easy - although I found it lacking something - next time I will add some Worcestershire Sauce for a little kick. My company was impressed with it!

Garlic Butter

Reviewed: May 23, 2013
This was really good. The first time I made it without the parm cheese as I was out. The second time I used parm cheese. I like it better without.

Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

Reviewed: May 23, 2013
This was good even when it was cold! My husband was initially skeptical because of the break from the normal broccoli with cheese sauce....but he's convinced now that there are TWO ways to serve broccoli! I will make this frequently!

Orzo Ham Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2013
Its never really fair to change up a recipe and then rate it. But I took into consideration what others have said and what I did have and didn't have in the kitchen. I cut the onions in half, doubled the ham, didn't have green peppers so I added celery for some crunch. All in all....excellent!

Delectable Marinated Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2012
Even without some of the ingredients ( I didn't have teriyaki sauce, liquid smoke, molasses) this still rocked! I increased the Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce to make up the difference in not using molasses. It was wonderful! I found that I had enough marinade to handle 15 thighs (boneless and skinless) when all were put into a ziplock baggie. Most definitely, this is my new favorite chicken thigh marinade! Thanks for posting it!

Sweet and Spicy Stir Fry with Chicken and Broccoli

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2012
Very good! With just enough spice. I omitted the chili paste and used just a dash of chili powder. I also tripled the sauce. I used it over rice and was very pleased with the meal. Thanks Amanda for sharing.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2012
This rating needs 10 stars....It was really that good. After cutting the recipe back to feed only 4, the only thing different that I did was to use one whole egg and add Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce as others have suggested. I can't wait to have them again! The title says it all: actually delicious!

Five stars for the wonderful aromas coming from my kitchen! I haven't tried it yet, but something that smells this good can't be bad! Can't wait for supper! Edited to add: OMG - there was nothing left after dinner....most excellent! I served with mashed garlic potatoes - this gravy is awesome!

Almost Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
I loved this! My husband not so much - he said it was too bland and suggested the next time I prepare it that I add a partial can of chopped green chilies for a little zest.
