Famous Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2008
Delicious recipe! My husband was a big fan! I didn't have garlic salt, so I used minced garlic and salt and pepper to taste. I double dipped the pork chops in the egg and crackers mixture to make sure that they were well coated. I cut the amount of butter, and only placed a small pat of butter on top of each chop. I also sprayed the casserole dish with Pam cooking spray, to keep the chops from burning. I followed the advice of a few other reviewers and turned the pork chops over half- way through the cooking time. I used the last 3 to 5 minutes of cooking time to place the chops under a broiler. It made the cracker topping nice and crispy. Make sure to watch the chops closely while broiling, so that the topping does not burn.

Pork Chops Deluxe

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
I added additional dijon mustard to this dish (2 T), since it is a family favorite. My husband and I enjoyed this recipe, but we both agreed that next time we would leave the tomatoes out. They provided the dish with only a little hint of flavor, and were a bit of an odd pairing with the dijon mustard. You could easily compensate for the loss of the tomato juice by using water or broth. We also decided that we did not like parsley mixed with rice for this dish. The parsley was too pungent and overwhelmed the flavor of the mustard sauce. My husband and I agreed that the mushroom and onion dijon mustard sauce was a winner, and that it would also be great paired with chicken!

Bahama-Mama Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2008
My family and friends loved this recipe! I added 1 chopped green pepper and 1 cup of chopped mushrooms to make the recipe more filling. I used golden raisins. I doubled the amount of pinneaple. I added more chili sauce (mild red enchilada sauce), pineapple juice, and brown sugar to compensate for the added ingredients. Thin boneless pork chops worked well with this recipe. I served the porkchops and Bahama- Mama mixture over steamed white rice. I also sprinkled shredded coconut on top for an extra tropical flair.

Spaghetti Carbonara II

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2008
Delicious recipe, a real winner with my picky Italian husband. I added 1 T of fresh chopped basil. I also added more fresh parsley due to the amount of spaghetti. The wine I used was Robert Mondavi Fume Blanc. I also used thick sliced bacon to make the dish more hearty. I served the spaghetti carbonara with garlic french bread.
