Creamy Potato Pork Chop Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2012
This recipe is delicious with a few minor changes. I listened to other reviews and I seasoned the pork chops with salt, pepper, Montreal steak seasoning and garlic powder. I did use the cream of celery like it calls for because my boyfriend loves celery, I however do not, but I still loved the meal. I also added a can of green beans. Since my pork chops were no thick whatsoever, I first sautéed them, set them aside, and cooked the rest of the dish without the pork chops for 20 minutes, took it out, added the pork chops, and continued to cook covered for the rest of the time, 20 more minutes, until I added the cheese and onions on top. Thanks for the recipe! I will definitely make this again!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2012
The best banana bread recipe I've tried! I listened to other reviews and mashed the bananas, and I used 3 for more banana taste. I also added about 1/2c chocolate chips. Turned out perfect!!

One-Dish Chicken, Vegetable and Rice Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2012
Tbis was delicious! I made a few changes because of what some reviews said. I used rice-a-roni, chicken broth instead of water, and I cut the chicken into bite size pieces and mixed it all together. My boyfriend loved it! Thank you very much for the recipe and reviews.

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2012
This was fabulous! My boyfriend and i love lasagna but now we prefer this recipe instead. I did double the sauce like other reviews said. Thank you for that extra tip because without the added sauce I think it would have been way too dry.

Insanely Easy Vegetarian Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
This is good but it definately didn't have as much flavor as I wanted. Next time I will put a lot more chili powder.

Mountain Apple Cobbler

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
This was good but not great. I made the mistake of not peeling the apples. If I ever make this again, I will definately peel them first.

Fast and Delicious Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
This is delicious!! Very fast and easy too. I followed the directions pretty closely the only thing I changes was to use a red pepper instead of green, just because I had one that needed to be used. I've used a lot of soup/stew recipes from this website and this one is by far my favorite! I will definately keep this and make it many more times!!

Coconut-Topped Oatmeal Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2009
This is a really good cake. I didn't change anything. But I don't love it enough to give it 5 stars. I will keep the recipe and maybe try it next time doing what several others said to do, to put the topping on before baking.

BUSH'S® Caribbean One-Pot Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
This has great ing. but there is something missing in it. I didn't add hot sauce like some suggested just because I'm really not a hot sauce person, but it does need something. I added extra cumin and pepper but it just wasn't enough. I might try it again adding more spices. There is no need to precook the potatoes. I just tossed them in with everything else and they ended up being more than done.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
This is the best pumpkin bread I've tried! I have tried several recipes for it from this side and this is the one I am going to keep and make again for sure! I followed other comments and made several small changes. I added 1tsp vanilla and 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice. I also made into 1 loaf and 12 muffins, baked the muffins for 30 min. and the bread for 1hr 10min. but I do think it is just a bit over cooked so next time I will not cook them as long. I also poked holes on the top of them while they were hot and poured a hot cinn/sugr/butter mixture over the tops. It turned out delicious!!!

Dishpan Cookies II

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
These are great cookies! I listened to other comments and made a few changes but not much. I did add vanilla and used butter. I also cut the recipe in half and it filled my mixing bowl. Now I understand what everyone said about needing a strong mixer!! With making only half the recipe, I ended up with 1 1/2 dozen large cookies. They were perfect in 14-15 minutes. Thanks for the suggestions and the recipe!! I will definately be making these again!!

Pumpkin Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2009
Definately needs icing. I added cream cheese frosting sprinkled with cinn. sugar like one comment said and it turned out great! Very moist. Also, I did bake this in a 9X13 for 35 min. It turned out fine, but if I would have left it in there any longer it would have burned.

Spicy Mango Sweet Potato Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2009
I can see why others would give this 5 stars, but because of personal preference really, I can't. I thought it was much to spicy but then again I'm not big on hot things. I served it over pasta, but I think rice would have been better. I also added less hot sauce and extra honey but it was still too hot for me.

Brazilian Black Bean Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
This was very delicious!! I made a lot of little changes because of all the other comments which I'm glad I did! I did use chicken broth and I adde more than it called for. I also simmered it a bit longer. I really don't think the ham is needed. Next time I will try to balance out the sweetness of it by adding a bit more spice to it. I have a huge sweet tooth so nothing really is ever too sweet for me, but even I thought this was a bit sweet.

Super Moist Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
This is a really good recipe and it is very moist! The other comments helped me. I only baked it for 1 hour which still seemed a tiny bit too long. I might try this again cooking it a little less and not putting coconut in it. It was not needed at all!
