amazing recipe. I added mushrooms to the sauce while it was boiling. Served over brown rice with squash on the side. This will become a new regular for me.

very good. I wrapped them in prosciutto. I also tried them with roasted walnuts added to the cheese. I found them very sweet.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2008
Awesome! I used butter-flavored spray on one side of the tortilla, sugared it, cut with pizza cutter, turned the pieces over onto a foil covered cookie sheet, then sprayed & sugared the second side. 10 min at 350, no more than that or they were overcooked. Perfect! I had no trouble with browning fruit, i added lemon juice to my apple and banana pieces. I also omitted the raspberry (didnt have any on hand). Color was perfect, everyone raved - thank you!

Lava Lamps

Reviewed: May 10, 2008
These are alot of fun. The key to keeping it look like a lava lamp is to break the jello shot up really well with a fork. I put it in the flute first, mashed it, then added the champagne, beautiful. Thanks!

Limoncello

Reviewed: May 10, 2008
Love this recipe, I made a few changes to make things easier for me. First I poured off just enough Vodka (100 proof) out of the bottle to fit the lemon peel directly into the Vodka bottle. I then aged this for three weeks. After combining the simple syrup with this mixture, I poured it back into the Vodka bottle and an emptied, cleaned wine bottle (or two if needed). I let this age for three weeks as well, then strained. I think leaving the zest in the mix for the second aging increased the lemon flavor and helped balance the sweetness. Thank you for providing the recipe, its so much better than storebought.

Garlic Asparagus with Lime

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
Perfect fresh asparagus recipe. It tastes just like Florida sunshine feels! The fresh lime juice makes this dish. We used as a side dish to veal piccata, it complemented the lemon flavor of the veal - there wasn't one bite left, thank you so much for a great recipe

Honey Mustard Dressing

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
Excellent flavor, great option for a non-mayo based honey mustard dressing or dip. We used it on pork loin, salad, chicken strips....the kids loved it just as is. Works without the garlic if need be.

Nauvoo Gingerbread Cookies

very nice gingerbread cookie. I made the dough two days before we rolled them out, and it kept nicely in the fridge. The cookies are soft yet firm and have nice ginger flavor. Perfect for decorating, thank you.

Easy Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2007
These didn't work at all for me. The texture of the batter was very thick. The only way I can see this working is if you made the cake batter first, then added the pumpkin? I tried adding an egg and water to the batter I had left after the first 12 muffins went in, and still didn't end up with an edible product. Sorry, I was looking forward to these, but just can't seem to make them work.

Seared Sea Scallops

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2007
Excellent flavor. I didn't cook on the stove, instead I put them under the broiler as one reviewer suggested. I used a foil covered cookie sheet sprayed with pam. I marinated the scallops just for 5 minutes as I was short of time. They came out tender and full of flavor. These would be great with a touch of old bay added for heat as well. Thanks for a great idea!

Taco Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2006
Excellent recipe. We added a top to the pie, spreading another package of the crescent rolls across the top before baking the second time. My kids devoured it. Oh, and I only had a bag of mixed doritoes, sunchips and cheetos. We crushed that mix and it tasted just fine. My kids really enjoyed the crushing of the chips. Thanks!

Sesame Tempura Green Beans

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2006
Very good. Love the crispiness of the batter. We didn't like the soy dip, but I boiled 1/2 cup soy, 1/2 cup suger and a bit of water with the lime juice until it thickened a bit, we liked the teriyaki flavor that gave. We also deep fried some red peppers and broccoli to enjoy. Thanks for the awesome recipe

Chewy Cocoa Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2006
These brownies were ok. I followed the recipe, except the nuts. They were thin, which is great by me, and chewy. But I didn't find them to be rich or fulfilling. For the flavor these had, I would probably just make a low-fat version with applesauce, as they taste about the same and has less calories/fat. Sorry, they just weren't as rich and satisfying as I was hoping.

Grandma's Sloppy Joes

Awesome made with ground buffalo, I split the meat and made some for the kids without the green pepper. To the "adult" pan I added mushroom as well as a bit more vinegar as we like that taste. Our most finicky eater ate four small sloppies. Thanks for a great recipe.

Banoffee Pavlova

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2005
Excellent! Made this for an Easter dessert. I doubled the recipe, kept it mounded in the center - it flattened nicely on its own. It's a bit of a "messy" looking dessert, but scoops nicely with a spoon, and in a group of 14 there were no leftovers. Thanks for a great recipe!

Caramelized Bacon

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2004
Great way to serve bacon. I make a change though, instead of cinnamon, we shake on a bit of dry yellow mustard. This gives the bacon a tangy zip that works well with the sugar's sweetness. We use the broiling pan, lining both the inside and outside with foil. Cut a few small slits in the foil on the top pan, so the grease drains to the bottom.

Easy Salmon

Good flavor. Realized I didn't have any dry italian dressing, used a dry veggie soup mix packet instead. Also added sliced zucchini and yellow squash with the mushrooms. Kids even devoured it. Will make again.

English Trifle

Excellent recipe. I substituted Amaretto for the Sherry, and used strawberries and blueberries for the fruit. For the raspberry jam, I used a gourmet raspberry dessert filling. The cake was a nice shortbread, not too sweet and had great texture. It didn't rise much for me either. Would make again for our Sunday dinner crowd.
