Broccoli Beef I

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2005
this recipe really did NOT do it for me. the sauce was bad and really thick. i tried many of the suggestions given but in the end, it was almost inedible. basically, this is a VERY americanized version of this dish and those looking for an authentic flavor will NOT find it here.

Fresh Pear Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2004
This cake was great, I used other people's suggestions and used less of the spices and omitted the cloves completely and it was great. The only thing I had a problem with is that the next day, the bread was a bit soggy.. maybe because of the juices from the pears?? however, the flavor was excellent!

Pancit

This did not have a good flavor at all and while I may try another pancit recipe, I would not recommend this one to anyone. Sorry!

Moroccan Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2003
I served this dish with rice and it was great! The flavors blended nicely and it was really easy to prepare. My boyfriend thought it was restaurant quality. I used a better quality crushed tomatoes because it's a large part of this recipe and the difference was wonderful because the tomatoes were sweeter and not tangy like some store bought brands. Overall, I thought it was a great dish, especially for potlucks at work and I would definately make again!

Baked Soy Lemon Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2003
This was a great recipe. I used the full amount of soy sauce and lemon and marinated for exactly 1 hour. It was not too salty at all. I basted throughout the cooking time and it came out so juicy! My fiance thought it was the most perfectly cook pork chop he has ever tasted. I would make this again in a heartbeat. Oh, as a side note, I added Korean crushed red pepper to the marinade which gave it a nice "kick".

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2003
I marinated the chicken for about 45 minutes and the outcome was that it was ok. I would have liked the sauce to be thicker, but it was very thin. I put the thin sauce in a dipping bowl for added dipping. It was a pretty average dish for me, but my fiance really liked the taste. I think there's a better sauce/marinade out there -i'll keep looking :)

Pan Seared Red Snapper

Reviewed: May 19, 2003
The sauce had a decent flavor but this is not one of my favorite fish recipes. Just dipping the fish in the sauce before cooking did not infuse the fish with the flavors and it did not produce a lot of sauce. My boyfriend actually asked for additional condiments to put on the fish because of the bland flavor.

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: May 5, 2003
This recipe was AWESOME. My boyfriend raved about it, saying it was the best salmon he had this year. It was really easy to make; I marinated it for about 7 hours. The sauce is a bit sweet so if you don't like sweet, you may not like it as much. It's a WAY better flavor than teriyaki. I would definately make this one again!

Shrimp Verde

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2003
Not exciting at all. The flavor was blah and there are several other things I would rather do with shrimp. I would probably not make again.

Easy Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2002
This roasted pork was easy and very moist. The roast smelled very sweet in the oven but was not overly sweet in taste. I usually don't like ginger but this dish had just the right amount.

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2002
This recipe was one of the best ones for meatloaf I have found! Having the mini meatloaves really cut the cooking time and made it cook evenly. The sauce was great and I'll probably even use it for chicken and other meats. This one is definately going into my regular dinner rotation!

Cheeseburger Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2002
This recipe was very easy to make with a delicious result! My family really enjoyed it and I would definately use the elbows. I used jalapeno flavored tomatoes to spice things up a bit and it worked great! Will make again and again.

Honey Pork with Peppers

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2002
This dish came out very well, much healthier than breaded and fried pork pieces. The flavor was great but I also recommend putting the onions in sooner if you like really tender onions.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2002
These mushrooms were great! I took people's suggestion to cut some of the cream cheese and to add the crabmeat and bread crumbs and it was great! I got the huge stuffing mushrooms and it filled about 15 but my boyfriend thought it was still a bit rich so i probably won't overfill them next time. I'll just have to buy more mushrooms! It was an excellent recipe!

Deb's Scallops Florentine

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2001
The recipe was pretty good - it was my first time cooking with scallops and i loved the creamy, cheesy taste. The one thing I did not like was the Old Bay seasoning on top! Everyone I made it for took the whole topping off because of the Old Bay. I think the Old Bay would have worked better if it was mixed in the cream sauce, if you like the taste. As for myself, I'll just exclude it the next time I make this dish.

Easy Salmon

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2001
This recipe was very very easy, like the name says, but it was rather bland and unmemorable. Mushrooms are a must - great suggestion. I even put some leftover mozzerella cheese on top. There are way too many better salmon dishes to waste a good piece of salmon on this one. It was alright, but I probably won't make this one again.
