Black-Eyed Pea Salad II

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
This was AMAZING... this tastes like it should have a ton of bacon in it but it's totally vegetarian! My husband and I both loved it and have added it to our meal rotation. :) Great recipe!

Greek Penne and Chicken

I LOVE this recipe!!! I agree with other reviewers that the addition of kalamata olives really adds something to the dish! It quickly became a go-to recipe for my husband and I and we've served it to guests as well. They all love it!

No Bake Double Good Dessert

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2010
I made this tonight when we had some guests over and it was a hit! After reading some of the reviews I put in just under the recommended amount for the peanut butter and sugar and it was excellent. The saltiness of the peanut butter cuts the sweetness nicely. This is my new go-to dessert recipe!

Tina's Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
I whipped this up to go with some apples lastnight when I was packing my husband's lunch. He just texted me raving about it! It's super quick and easy to make! I substituted Smart Ballance for butter and I think I used low fat sour cream. I also added about 2 teaspoons of cinnamon. YUM!

Spaghetti Carbonara II

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
This was excellent! I had never made a carbonara before and I'm very glad I found this recipe. I used turkey bacon (lower fat) and made up for the lost smokiness with some liquid smoke. I also followed the other reviewers' advice and mixed the eggs with the cheese before added to the pasta. The sauce was very rich and creamy! I will make this again!

Holiday Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
This is the best cranberry sauce I have ever had and the first I have ever made! It is very easy to prepare and has wonderful flavor - the only thing I added was the zest of one orange which balanced the sweetness some other reviews commented on. This is an instant holiday favorite!

Loved this! I was surprised how much flavor it had! I added some onion and squash to the mix and it come out great. (I did not care for reheated leftovers however... the breadcrumbs go a bit soggy)

Extra-Easy Spinach Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
This is a great recipe! I added ground beef and bacon to make it a bit more hearty and it was wonderful! (If you do this be sure to have extra sauce available because the added meat throws off the ratio. I used a different brand of sauce and it was still fabulous!

Lazygirl's Ground Turkey Stroganoff

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2008
I had to make a coupe of changes due to what I didn't have available. I browned the turkey, drained it, and poured the soup (I used cream of mushroom and roasted garlic) over the turkey with a can of mushrooms. I added chicken broth in place of the water and a small amount of butter and sour cream, some cayenne pepper and paprika. We added more sour cream to taste upon serving. Great recipe! My husband had seconds - we will use it again! :) Thanks a lot!
