Meatballs and Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
I’ve never had as many people ask for a recipe as people did for these meatballs. I sautéed an onion and added that, plus used 2 cans of soup, rather than one. Mish is right, they are sort-of stinky until they’re cooked, but they make up for the initial smell in the end :)

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
Everyone raved about this pie. I did cook the mixture for a bit before filling the crust as another reviewer suggested. I think it made a difference. I also made my own pie crust. I’ll make this again and again.

Impossibly Easy Cheeseburger Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
I’ll make it again, but will flavor the beef more. I liked the idea of a taco seasoning packet from another reviewer, or I might just do more onion and lots of garlic. Chili powder? I don’t know. I think I’d like it with corn in it, but my family overruled me on that one.

Simple Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
I doubled the recipe and added a beef bullion cube and one packet of onion soup mix. I decreased the sour cream to 1/3 cup (I don’t like sour cream) and added it in with all the other stuff, rather than at the end. I also skipped the salt and pepper. I chose to spoon the sauce over the egg noodles, rather than mixing it together. I gave my hubby and kids the option of putting more sour cream on top (they love it) but they all declined, saying it was good the way it was. I’d declare that a hit!
