About this Cook
I grew up in a family of cooks and bakers. It was natural for me to get in there and learn the family recipes. I've learned so much over the years and still love making home made pasta, cookies and breads.
My favorite things to cook
Chili, pasta, pizza, breads.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We eat an antipasto with roasted peppers and olives as well as a chick pea salad every Christmas Eve. Hopefully, that tradition will be passed on to the next generation.
My cooking triumphs
Vegetarian Moussaka
My cooking tragedies
Turkey Casserole - the turkey was bad but since I had severe allergies, I couldn't smell it. Not good.

Annemarie's Lemon Bars
These are very good but I think they could use more filling. Next time, I'll double the filling. The bars are nice and light - great with a cup of tea.

Pizza Dough III
Excellent dough. I make bread frequently and use the bread dough for pizza. This is a faster, easier way to make pizza dough. I did, however, use 1 cup of whole wheat flour and 1 cup of white flour in the first batch. In the second batch, I didn't have enough white flour so I substituted some spelt flour in the recipe with the whole wheat flour. Both pizzas were terrific. This is a keeper. Thanks so much. Delicious!

Southwestern Spaghetti Squash
I like all of the ingredients in this recipe and gave it a try. It was a little bland. I also garnished it with sour cream. Next time I will add more Mexican seasoning and I'm sure it will be great. It is a very attractive dish.
