Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2013
I just tried this recipe today. Super easy to make! They turned out soft and chewy, just how I like 'em. I followed the recipe exactly, except I did refrigerate the dough for about 20-30 minutes. They only took 12 - 13 minutes to bake @ 325F. I will be making these again.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2012
Delicious! I followed the recipe to a "T" for the most part, only thing I changed was using 1/2 cup butter & 1/2 cup of butter flavored shortening. I have been so disappointed with the cookies i've been turning out lately using the recipe on the back of the choc. chip bag, as they all come out F L A T ! But with this recipe they turn out soft and chewy and aren't flat!! The only thing I might tweak the next time, because I will be baking these again, is to add a tiny bit more salt.

Red Velvet Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
I was a bit disappointed with this cake. I think it most definitely needs to be tweaked. I think it called for way too much food coloring, and too little cocoa. And making a paste out of the two I felt was an unneeded step. As it turned out, my box of food coloring came with two blue dyes, no red, so I used both blues trying to get close to 4 tbls, not even close. So, it turned into a Black Velvet Cake haha. It was also on the dry side. Not a terrible cake, but I won't be making it again. And I used my own cream cheese frosting instead of what the recipe called for, and it's the best part of the cake.

Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
My family really liked this recipe. I cooked em in a crock pot in a beef stew for alot longer than 15 minutes so they could get nice and dense. Otherwise they were pretty soft and fluffy. I might cut the baking powder in half next time.

Flan I

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
This has to be the easiest and yummiest flan I've ever made or had! I mixed the egg mixture with a stick blender and the end result was a beautifully creamy flan. It even converted my non-lovin flan daughter into a fan!

Strawberry Jam

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2010
This was my very first attempt at making any kind of jam or jelly. I've been too scared to try to in the past. But this recipe seemed so easy, and I had to use up these strawberries, so I went for it. It turned out so beautifully and delish! I made only one change: Instead of 1/4 cup of lemon juice I used a 1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice and a tiny bit of orange zest, as I didn't have any lemons. It took about 20 minutes of boiling to reach the jelly stage. Mine did set up nicely and spreads beautifully. I can't wait to make more for family and friends.

Butter Rich Spritz Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
I'm new to using a cookie press and have been looking for the best spritz/butter cookie recipe to use and I think I found it with this one. It's super easy and really good. It made slightly over 3 dozen cookies for me. I will be making these again.

Very Berry Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
This was my first Splenda *sugar free* recipe and it turned out great! I'm so very pleased with these muffins. Even my 11yo daughter likes em. I did only bake em at 350 and for about 18 minutes.
