My cooking triumphs
The first time I made tamales from scratch, I had a man from Mexico tell me "If you ever meet my mom, don't you dare tell her that I said this... Your tamales are so much better than hers!" WIN!
My cooking tragedies
Gravy....I can't make a good brown gravy for anything. The first attempt at it tasted like burned flour....and I plated everyone's food until all the food was gone so.....everyone was hungry because nobody wanted to eat after that. :(
