Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2010
Pretty darn good. Added a little minced garlic and shredded cheese to the mix. Used Miracle Whip, might opt for mayonnaise next time. But overall, quite good.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
I was a bit skeptical due to the ingredients, just didn't seem like enough seasoning. HOWEVER, I gave it a shot and loved it. Just a couple of minor changes. Added a few sliced carrots, a can of chicken broth plus 1 1/4 c. water for liquid, bay leaf and a handful of shredded cheese. Very, very good!

Mashed Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2007
This had a good taste, but the consistency was like eating wallpaper paste!!!! I tried to add more milk but just didn't work for me. Might be better with real mashed potatoes, but will not use again.

Cabbage Beef Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2007
This was very good, very much like chili with cabbage. Instead of water, I added two cans of beef broth, also diced tomatoes and a pinch of chili powder. It indeed makes a large batch but great for leftovers.

Tasty Tender Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2007
Very good. I used a small pork roast because it was on sale! Cooked a little longer because of that but was excellent. I did substitute 1/4 cup of maple syrup instead of honey.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2007
This was excellent. I added less chicken for our preference. We loved it and have plenty left over for another meal. Thanks!

Cranberry BBQ Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2006
Very good. I omitted the celery and onion and used celery seed and onion powder instead due to family preference. Served over rice. Would recommend highly.

Hash Brown Casserole II

Reviewed: May 17, 2006
I thought this was good, but husband wasn't crazy about it. I did add some milk, otherwise would have been very thick. I liked it, he didn't, thus the 3 star rating.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: May 17, 2006
Not sure (as the title says) that is was "amazing", but was good. I used a boneless pork roast in slow cooker. Was good and left overs made good sandwich.

Easy Key Lime Pie I

Reviewed: May 9, 2006
Oh my goodness, this was SO good and SO easy. Recipe says prep time 20 minutes but I found 10 more appropriate. A must try for all key lime lovers!

This was pretty good. I used a pork roast and cooked all day in crock pot. Meat was tender and made a tasty sandwich.

Grilled Lemon Herb Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
I don't know, but I just didn't get much flavor out of this recipe. Marinating them didn't seem to tenderize the chops and, basically, they were just another grilled piece of meat. Not horrible, but I think there are better marinades available.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2006
Excellent! Used chicken breasts. I doubled the sauce, don't think it was necessary, had more than enough. Thanks, Marian, for a great recipe.

Mother's Pot Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2006
If I make this again, I would double the sauce. I made mashed potatoes and there just wasn't enough sauce for both roast and potatoes. But flavor was good and very quick to put together.

Sue's Taco Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2006
This is the taco salad recipe I have been looking for. Just my husband and I and it made a huge salad. But after shopping the next day, we dug into it and it was still good so none went to waste! Thanks.

Slow Cooker Vegetable Beef Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2006
Excellent soup. Only added oregano and cooked the pasta before adding to soup. Husband said 4 stars, but changed it to 5 stars when he helped himself to a second bowl!!

Used all ingredients but instead of baking, cooked fish on George Foreman grill. Mighty good fish!!!

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2006
These were good ribs, but not too different than any other rib recipe. I prefer country style ribs but these were indeed tender so overall, good recipe.

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2006
Very good. I cut the recipe in half and accidentally added the full 29 oz. of tomato sauce, glad I did. Came out very moist and reheated for a second meal very nicely. I only added a bit of chili powder, garlic powder and red pepper flakes for a little more taste.
