About this Cook
My husband and I have been married for 10 years. I love to try all kinds of new dishes and some that my mom used to make. Whenever we throw a party or go to one, I always try and bring an unusual and exciting appetizer or dessert. I also love entertaining. I am a child care provider in my home, so I have the time to experiment with different recipes.
My favorite things to cook
Pies, cakes, anything chocolate, breads. I love making everything from scratch.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up my mom made basic dinners, meatloaf, pork chops, chicken. I like to make some of the same things she did but add a twist to them.
My cooking triumphs
Christmas dinners for 16, and everything is ready at the same time.
My cooking tragedies
My King Cake for Mardi Gras dinner. After waiting for the cake to rise, when I removed the bowl from the center to bake it, it fell. It also wound up in the trash!!

We love this soup. I've always used ground turkey for the meatballs. I added zucchini & corn to mine. Just the best!

Cornbread Salad
I decided to make this because it was different and it had positive reviews. I was skeptacle while making it. It looked so appetizing and pretty when I finished it. I brought it to a perch fry and boy was it a hit! It was really delicious. I used fat free sour cream and light mayo and black beans. Several people asked for the recipe and it was a big success!

Cream Cheese Cookies I
I was confused by the reviewer who stated that the recipes was wrong using 3 oz. of cream cheese. I don't remember using that small amount in any other recipes. So, I used 6 oz, & that's all I changed. PERFECTO! Light, crisp, yet tender with no floury taste, just that nice cheese flavor. I think this will be a keeper with 6oz.
