We have always made taco salad in our house but this was the first time I tried to make the bowls. . . it was delicious! I baked them this time, with the advice of the other reviewers, to cut out some calories, because i topped it with home-made guac from a recipe on this site (Guacamole by Bob Cody) and sour cream. We don't even eat guac - but we do now. I will try to fry them next time just to see if it would be worth the extra fat. I also use a pkg taco seasoning for the meat and then layer refried beans, meat, black beans and all the other garnishes listed except the olives. Thanks everybody!
