Super Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2008
Very easy and tastes great. I added another tablespoon of bacon grease doubled the flour and milk and it turned out very good, while making enough for the leftover biscuits to reheat for the next morning.

Gooey Butter Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2010
We loved it! I only used 3 cups of the sugar and it came out perfect for our tastes, (trying to watch the sugar intake a bit). Still sweet but not overly so. Thx!

San Antonio Taco Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2010
We have always made taco salad in our house but this was the first time I tried to make the bowls. . . it was delicious! I baked them this time, with the advice of the other reviewers, to cut out some calories, because i topped it with home-made guac from a recipe on this site (Guacamole by Bob Cody) and sour cream. We don't even eat guac - but we do now. I will try to fry them next time just to see if it would be worth the extra fat. I also use a pkg taco seasoning for the meat and then layer refried beans, meat, black beans and all the other garnishes listed except the olives. Thanks everybody!

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
Loved them! I was skeptical about the pineapple and Hubby hates bacon on anything, but let me tell you that I wished I had used more pineapple and Hubby, (who balked at the bacon at first), loved them! He said 5 stars without hesitation. I did add red onion and red & green pepper but wished I hadn't added the peppers and just used more pineapple. Thanks for the GREAT kabobs!

Very easy and tasty too! You can do many things with this recipe to adjust for different tastes. I made it as it called for first, then played with it other times. It's a good one for your recipe box.

White Chocolate Gorp

A very good snack! Those who've had it before - will love it again, and those who haven't - will think they're in heaven. All the newbies who eat this, ask for the recipe. Great during the holidays or anytime you want a salty/sweet snack.

Sausage and Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
Excellent recipe for leftovers! I have made this for a very long time and my recipe is just how this is written. I cut our servings in half (4 serv in 8x8) and still have another breakfast for me and the husband. I have made it with cheddar cheese, but really prefer shredded swiss. Gives it a nice flavor. Thanks for sharing!

Very good recipe. I usually boil my cabbage but only because I never had a good fried cabbage recipe. This is my new way to cook cabbage on New Years. Thanks!

Chicken Enchilada Casserole II

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
Very good!!! I used corn tortillas and black beans in place of chili beans and 1/2 can corn. I also used 1 can green chilies and 1 block of softened cream cheese and 8 oz sour cream in the filling and only 2 cups of shredded cheddar/monteray and it was delicious. I'm sure I really upped the fat factor but the taste was well worth it!

Potato Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2010
Very good when made as written (4.5 stars), but even better when you spice it up a bit. I have my own mix of seasonings that I add to the mix including a little old bay seasoning & red pepper. They are a little drier than the usual patties I make - but it wasn't a bad thing. All-in-all a very good variation.

Teriyaki Chicken

Easy and good tasting! I too, subsituted the white sugar for brown, and I'm not a big teriyaki fan, but I think this was a good change from our normal chicken dishes. Thanks!

Southwest Chicken and Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
Very good! Would rate a 4 1/2 if I could. Used Mini Fusilli pasta, which when I put the water on to boil, I added broccoli and diced red pepper to the water, and when the water boiled, I put in the pasta and only cooked for 4 min. Drained and then placed in a lightly greased 9x13 pan. I put the cooked cubed chicken on top, then the soup mix on top of that, then covered with the parmesan cheese and baked 325 for 45 min as the other reviewer did. It was Great! If you want a lil kick - put some red pepper in the soup mix and if you want it soupier, don't use 3 full cups of pasta. If you want more veggies - I added some fiesta corn and black beans to the soup mix also. Nice recipe to play with! Thanks!
