About this Cook
I work for an international development non-profit organization. Have live 30 years overseas and in about 8 different countries. I play piano and love to play tennis.
My favorite things to cook
Thai food number one. Other Asian food including Indian/Pakistani and Chinese
My favorite family cooking traditions
Southern home-cooking, especially fried chicken and hillbilly style biscuits and gravy. Have no family in Pakistan so cook for myself and save leftovers in the freezer for later use. When my Thai partner is with me and I cook, it is generally Thai food or steaks.
My cooking triumphs
Have made some very good chilis and oriental soups. My family back home loves my Thai cooking.
My cooking tragedies
When I cooked Indian food for my family back in Tennessee. They had never had Indian curries before and they really didn't like it. They love the Southeast Asian and Chinese dishes that I make though.

Spicy Green Beans
This was just great! Thanks for sharing. Folks should use common sense on the amount of chilies they use(according to their tolerance level) as well as the amount of lemon juice...I am making this again tonight!
