Bread Pudding III

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2008
Wow! Some of the best bread pudding I've ever had! I used a random mix of breads I had in my bread box. Blueberry coffee cake, cake donuts, and homemade whole wheat bread. All mixed together and allowed to soak for a few minutes before cooking... delicious! Will definitely make again!

Easy Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2008
not exactly sure what I did wrong but neither the stovetop method, or the microwave worked for me. I ended up having to knead the powdered sugar in so now I have a clump of chocolate/peanut butter "dough" to do something with. Will try putting the microwave at a lower temp next time

Peanut Butter Cocoa No-Bake Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2008
Quick and easy. I used my pampered chef cookie/melon baller to scoop them out then flattened them out slightly. Turned out all uniform and wonderful. Reminds me of my great grandmother's recipe. Thanks!

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
Wonderful and easy. :-) I mixed the dry ingredients together about a week prior and so it was easy this morning to just dump them in a bowl and put in the wet ingredients. Wonderful!

Crab and Mushroom Enchiladas

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
Wow! When I first saw this I was extremely sceptic but I had mushrooms and tortillas I needed to use so I figured it was worth a shot. I'm so glad I did! The little ones at first were wary but even the littlest one who detests mushrooms ate it up and asked for seconds! The changes I made were I used cream of chicken and for the cheese I chopped up colby, muenster, provolone, and cheddar (remnants of sandwich stuff) and for the top I chopped and mixed a few jalapenos in with chili powder and paprika. Will probably use black olives with the mushrooms next time. Wonderful!

Beer Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
Great twist on the classic pancake! I had planned waffles for this morning but after seeing this recipe last night I had to try it. The kids were a bit wary at first but quickly gobbled them up (we used root beer.) I loved these because they added enough flavor so they were delicious without syrup as well. Wonderful! NEW UPDATE - These pancakes have become a staple in our house. This morning we made them using the energy drink AMP. Still wonderful! Wasn't something I would think of first off but they turned out really good! The possibilities with this pancake are endless!!!

Mom's Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
Wonderful! I made the mashed potatoes with butter, milk and garlic powder. I used a mixture of canned corn and green beans for the vegetables and added about 1/2 cup of tomato paste with the tomato sauce because we like the extra tomato flavor but didn't want it runny. Absolutely wonderful! Will definitely make again!

Heart Biscuits

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
Absolutely wonderful! I had tried several different biscuit recipes but this one takes the cake! (no pun intended ;-) ) The spreads remind me of what my grandmother used to do. The possibilities with those spreads are endless. We make garlic spread also for those who don't want a sweet breakfast. Wonderful!

Simple Maple Syrup

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
Great recipe! I used 1 1/2 cups of white sugar and 1/2 cup of light brown and added 1/4 tsp of butter extract. It was a little runny but overnight in the fridge fixed that. Thanks!
