Coconut Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2013
Made just as written, very good, even better that it took no time at all and didn't have to buy anything special for. I did only have the Dream Whip mix that you mix with milk, still set

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2012
I haven't try one baked yet but if it is 1/2 a good as the raw dough, I know it will be great. I used the back of a 1/2 tsp spoon to push in and used the same spoon to fill with strawberry jam. this make more consistant look. My mom made this recipe at christmas and used alternating green and red marachio cherries for a more festive look

4-H Corn Special

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2011
My husban told me it was a keeper, I found it dry, but very good with a good dullop of sour cream as per others reviews. I did use salsa, as I didn't have tomatoes on hand, this gave it more fav. and made the sour cream go even better.. This is very much like my Jiffy Supper recipe but baked.

Chewy Chocolate Cookies I

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2011
I did add an extra cup of flour as per other reviews, I won't next time. But as with all baked goods, flour has to be adjusted depending on altatude and humidity. They were VERY sweet, hubby loved them.

Cracker Cookie Brittle

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2011
I have made this brittle before using primium plus soda crackers, Loved it, the sweet and saltly flavs are a great mix. Ensure to cook long enough on the stove and not to long in the oven.

Molasses Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
Very good, just what I was looking for. I didn't have ground cloves on hand so I used allspice. I too was to eager to wait over night. Tasted just like the ones at Tim Horton's. I did find that they didn't go flat, the next pan I just rolled them more disk like then balls. They look great, cracks and all. Thanks Karin Christian

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
This is similar to my recipe we have been using for a few years. I add cubed carrorts and celary in with the onions and a can of corn at the same time as the potatoes. It makes it a little more hearty. Very good base, soo yummy. Add it with some chesse tea biscutits and you have a great supper.

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
A perfect cake for a novice baker. Easy & stright forward. I didn't have buttermilk so I added a tbsp vingar to the cup of milk and let it sour for 5min. It didnt puff up in the middle, making it easy to shape. I used a square tin and a glass round pan(was making a heart shaped cake) the tin pan was done in 30 min, while the glass was done in 40min. Make sure to cool in pans for 10min or longer if not it will fall part. A piece broke off the bottom but with a spatula and some care, was able to fit it back and it formed together while on the cooling rack.

Buttermilk Chocolate Cake with Fudge Icing

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
I didn't try the cake but the icing was the best. Sets really quick so you have to work fast. It smooths its self so if you are like me and not very good at frosting a cake it was great
