Fried Broccoli

I never cook canned vegetables, only fresh or frozen. I tried this once, and I've never cooked frozen broccoli any other way since. As a matter of fact, I cook all of my frozen vegetables this way, switching out seasonings for whatever I'm in the mood for. This method definitely keeps the crispness and freshness to it.

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

It was edible, but I won't keep the leftovers or make them this way again. It was very bland, and I had even seasoned the meat with a bit salt and pepper before breading them. I should have gone with my instinct and hit them with Tony's. The meat turned out tender enough, the crust was firm enough, but they had a bit of a "bready" taste to it. A lot of prep for just a so-so dish.

Chef John's Macaroni and Cheese

This was awful. If it weren't for that single pinch of nutmeg, I wouldn't be able to taste it at all (and maybe it's because it's still in my kitchen, and I can simply smell it). Even my pastaholic teenage daughter didn't like it. I only used 12oz of pasta because I wasn't paying attention at the size when I purchased it, and it was still dry. I had to peel the cheddar topping off because it was a solid, dried clump. I don't cook bad meals, and this was an embarrassment. At least I was able to say it wasn't my recipe.
