Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2014
Made it today with turkey dinner. Everyone loved it! This will be my recipe from now on. I followed exactly as is other than double the cracker topping because it didn't even cover it all. The crunchy cracker on top was wonderful! I changed to 7 servings because I wanted to make it with 2 cans of beans. I am so happy to have a made from scratch version!

Classic Tiramisu

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2013
Turned out very good! However, I had a problem that I didn't see anyone else mention. When I stirred the egg yolks in a double boiler, they cooked! I didn't realize it so after stirring 10 minutes on lowest heat, I tried to whip it in a kitchen aid and nothing was happening except it was getting dryer and stiffer. The problem was a very thin metal double-boiler steamer pan - it held too much heat! I started over with new eggs, and used a small pan with a thick ceramic bowl over it, and stirred for 5 minutes. It was smooth, sugar dissolved and it was beautiful! When I whipped it in a cold bowl, it was perfect! So watch out for a bad double-boiler. If it looks wrong ( not like in the video - then it is cooked.) Used soft lady fingers, used up 2.5 packs of 12 each -made in 9X13 pan. Added 1/2 cup espresso to Kahlua. Also sprinkled cocoa over 2nd layer of ladyfingers. Will make again!

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
If you are doing mini muffins, put in for 18-22 minutes and make sure you mash the bananas well. We used mini chocolate chips, very cute and super good!

Easy Pavlova

This was wonderful - such interesting and different texture it was fun to eat. I'd definitely cut down the whip cream - too sweet - and add more fruit! Will make it again.

Made it last night, it is fabulous! Used broth instead of water, needed to add a bit more water this morning. Thanks for a great recipe!!!

Fudge Brownies I

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2010
I was trying to follow Angelflower23 modifications and I have to say it turned out awful. I had to throw it out. I don't doubt her brownies were great, I am sure I did something wrong along the way. I just can't figure out what... The texture was all wrong, and it was SO GREASY, we could feel the butter more than anything else. I used 2 eggs, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup chocolate chips and the 4 oz. of chocolate bars. I will have to try again and start with the original version.

Apple Crisp IV

Love it! By far the best if you love a lot of the oatmeal mixture. Makes for a more substantial dessert and looks better when served.
