Creamy Shrimp and Corn Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2012
Super yummy...I had overshot on shrimp and corn from the Frogmore Stew we had for Labor day, and I have to tell you, this was ALMOST better (and as you may know, that is incredible)!!! I added in my left over summer sausage and added Tony Chacheres in place of the spices listed in the recipe. Super easy and incorporates left overs. Doesn't get any better than that!

Baked Halibut Steaks

I added mushrooms to my vegetable mixture, and seasoned my halibut with a bit of dill weed. It was hard to stop eating...very yummy! Everything was perfect!

Blue Bacon Stuffed Mushrooms

This was AMAZING. I used feta cheese because I couldn't find any blue cheese and it was yummy. I definitely will make this again...

Treasure Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
I was so bored and hungry for somthing sweet, that I decided to give it a shot and turn these 'treasure cookies' into some 'trash cookies'. You know...when you don't want to go to the store so you just start substituting stuff? I didn't have any coconut or chocolate chips, so I chopped up some chocolate bars and caramels...I only had a few pecans and about 10 oz of sweetened condensed milk...HOLY cow...those cookies were AMAZING! I had to cook them for about 15 minutes and some of them weren't good looking, but my stomach didn't care. Remember, one man's trash IS another man's treasure! Thanks for the base recipe. YUM!

Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2009
I altered the recipe by adding about 1/4 more powdered sugar after reading other reviews...NOTE-when they say make SKINNY fingers, they mean SKINNY. The first batch we rolled was about the size of our fingers and they turned out HUGE!!!! We loved tasting them though...The second 'skinnier' batch is in the oven...I will keep you posted. They sure are fun to make!!!!

Chicken with Cashews

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2008
Very good!!! I didn't have cashews, so I used almonds and used 2 cloves of garlic (just because I am a garlic junkie!)...EXCELLENT! Definitely will make again...somehow between me, my boyfriend, and my daughter we wiped out the entire meal...my son was at band practice and had to heat up spaghetti-o's! His loss!

Summer Squash Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
What an awsome recipe! I used 1/2 cup of applesauce in place of 1/2 cup of the oil which did up the cook time, but WHO CARES! This was so good! My family of 4 finished the WHOLE pan in 2 days! I am going to try adding pecans in my next batch...Thanks for the great recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
WOW! I didn't have any chicken but I did have boneless porkchops so I cut those up. I also added about 1/2 cup of light sour cream with the soup and cream cheese. INCREDIBLE! Couldn't have been easier. THANKS FOR THE RECIPE!

Creamy Zucchini with Linguine

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
I thought this was an excellent recipe! I read the reviews and based on those, I made the following changes: doubled the garlic, 1 tsp of garlic salt, 1 tsp of curry, 1 tsp of italian seasoning, and 1/2 pound of salad shrimp that I added in the last 5 minutes of cooking. Everything else was the same, including the 1/2 cup of olive oil. I tell you what, that was one of the best recipes I have ever put in my mouth! Will definitely fix this again...
