Chicken Dinner - The Joy of Cooking - To be Flavorfull or Not 2 be Flavorfull

This is the question...

While visiting family, I noticed a few techniques I wanted to try in my own kitchen.

One, was boiling whole chicken pieces and using the remaining liquid (now chicken stock) for cooking the rice. Two, using a Goya seasoning package to flavor the rice.  I decided to combine the two for tonight's dinner.

I do not use too much (if any) salt while cooking. I am working on that, though. Trying to find a way to make my dinners more flavorful without having to worry about how much salt to use.

So, tonight: Whole Chicken cut into pieces, 1 cup white long grain rice, 1 onion, 1 tablespoon diced garlic, 5 potatoes and 1 large carrot, herbs & spices: garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, black pepper, oregano, salt

I LOVE goya. I put it in anything with a mexican or spanish flair. LOVE it!
