Seven Layer Dip I

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2009
I would give this a 10 if I could!! Truly a great addition to any recipe book! This was all gone in one sitting at a party- turned around and it was gone. I have been asked by several people for the recipe to since then! I decided to make my own guacamole for this-and I'm so glad I did! it was so good by itself and it definetly added to the dips flavor- I found that recipe on here too. One other thing I did was a use a fresh salsa that I found in the store. It's made with chopped vegatable and is not in a thick sauce like some name brands. I found it in the cooler section with the vegatables. This was also a great addidtion and I know I'll make to the same way from now on too. I recommend this to everyone who want a great mexican dip. Now everyone wants me to make it for parties!

Hummus III

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2009
Wonderful recipe! I found that it was easier to mix this in a food processor for me. The flavors mix together amazingly- I've used it now for pitas with vegatables in it and just for dipping-- so far it's a winner everytime!!:)

Strawberry Cake from Scratch

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
A+++ This is a wonderful recipe!!I got so many compliments from this and a request to make it for another party coming up!! I did separate the eggs and whip the egg whites-- also make sure that you sift the flour and make sure to use CAKE flour not regular. When I had these made I made my own strawberry frosing for the outside. I used vanilla frosting that I made for between the layers and also put strawberry slices betweenthe layers too. This turned out amazing and I will definetly be makingg this again!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
This is an amazing recipe!! Well deserving of 5 stars. It's true that the longer it sits the better it gets so keep it on low or simmer for a while. I left the recipe as is as I was making it for people who don't like anything really spicy. For my own taste i had to add a little something to kick it up a little, but it stands very well all on it's own! Freezes well and keeps well in the fridge. Everyone loved this recipe and I'm getting asked for the recipe!

Mushrooms and Spinach Italian Style

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2008
This recipe is amazing!! Everyone loves this and they are always asking for the recipe!I have made this several times now and will continue to make it. Definetly let it simmer for awhile after you add the wine though or you will have too much of the wine flavor when you eat it.

Abby's Chicken Rollatini

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2008
This was an amazing recipe!! I was worried about the cooking time, but it really does cook in half an hour! By the time everyone was done eating this dish was completly gone. It was very moist and had an amazing flavor. I will definetly use this recipe again and possibly add spinich to the center next time as well. I was cooking for someone that can't have cheese too so i made a separete type for them. I didn't use the cheese and I put mushrooms in the center with the everything else-- Even this turned out great! A great dish all around!

Pork Chops with Burgundy Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2008
This turned out great! I used boneless sirloin pork chops because they were thicker and they were still really tender and tasted great. I was nervous about the mustard but I tried and it leaves a hint of flavor- I would definetly use it again. I added scallons and garlic the mushrooms though and it added more flavor. I also used some salt, pepper, and basil to add some seasoning. I made extra sauce as I went too using a past recommendation and I'm glad I did-- there definetly wouldn't of been enough sauce otherwise. I added a little flour too to thicken it up. Everyone loved this meal though, I'll definetly make it again!
