I love salmon and rainbow trout and am usually able to eat the portion that I cook. However when I can't, I don't throw it out. The leftovers make great sandwiches - rather than opening a can of salmon, I mix green onion, celery, celery seed and mayonnaise to the fish and mash it…
I have lived in Canada, Italy and Africa and have travelled all over. Everywhere I go, I pick up some new cooking style and recipes.
My favorite things to cook
Roast of Veal, Chili Con Carne, Pasta of all types and with all types of sauces, fish, chicken - I really don't have a favourite as you can see.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have no traditions, as I have always done my own thing for various holidays - for instance, for Easter dinner yesterday I had a tenderloin of pork, marinated in herbs and garlic, with green beans, white asparagus and sweet potatoes, mashed with butter, pecans and maple syrup.
My cooking triumphs
My own chili con carne recipe for which I won a cooking contest and trophy at my place of work about 20 years ago.
My cooking tragedies
a pumpkin shaped cake that my 9 year old daughter wanted for a halloween party. It fell!!!
