About this Cook
I started cooking when I left the nest for college and was forced to find nourishment all by myself. Thank God I found this website or else I would have starved to death!
My favorite things to cook
Anything quick and easy, especially if it involves ingredients that I have on hand.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We cooked a lot of stir-frys, curries, and Southeast Asian influenced dishes.
My cooking triumphs
World's Best Lasagna - time consuming, but soooo worth it.
My cooking tragedies
A Good Easy Garlic Chicken - I've tried to make this 4 times because I always have the ingredients on hand. The recipe is supposed to be simple to make, but I seem to never be able to make it right. When I go to saute the chicken in the butter, my house gets extremely smokey and the chicken tastes dry with bits of black, burnt sections. What am I doing wrong?!

PHILLY Shrimp Cocktail Dip
This really is "the procastinator's dream recipe." I did the following slight modifications: 1.) used whipped cream cheese (easier to spread and won't get hard if refridgerated), 2.) used a whole lb of medium cooked shrimp (what am i going to do with the remaining 1/4 lb anyway?!), 3.) used all 12 oz of ZESTY cocktail sauce, 4.) used only the greens of the green onions, and 5.) sprinkled parm cheese on top w/o measuring. This went fast at my work potluck so I'd recommend doubling it if serving more than 10.
