About this Cook
I am a working wife....not mother yet....and my man eats a lot and is a freak of nature bc he doesn't gain a pound. I am trying to eat healthy and pay attention to portion control and more healthy organic ingredients. This is the only way we dont mesh. But I do love my desserts!
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking different chicken recipes....buttermilk battered chicken, chicken parm. I also love trying things in the slow cooker...many of those don't make a second making. I prefer putting things in the oven or in a pot. I let my husband grill.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We used to have thanksgiving traditions but since we all moved around...that doesnt' happen. I can't wait to have a family of my own and a big kitchen to get it started again.
My cooking triumphs
A chicken cordon blue I made in college was awesome. I was so proud because that was wayyyy above my cooking level. I also make some great pies. I bring them into work every once in a while and get rave reviews. And this crazy death by chocolate recipe I found online. Turned out awesome....just need to figure out how to make it healthier. I also cook deer meat alot, so i am trying new recipes all the time to figure out what is good....venison tacos, venison meatloaf, and venison chili are my favorites.
My cooking tragedies
Was trying this Apple pancake recipe from Cooking light (August 2008). The picture showed it looking like a crepe. Mine was a cake!!!! The egg separated from the batter recipe...would have been good if i used some bacon and cheese instead of apples. It was awful. I also tried to spice up mac and cheese one night. I added some green giant frozen veggies medley since I didnt have any fresh ones on hand. It was not fit for prisoners.

Famous Chicken Francaise
Great Recipe very easy. I have been making it for years with a few more herbs and no sauce. I just squeeze lemon on the chicken right before I remove it from heat. I also use oranges or limes for different flavor. This is a very easy quick recipe that results in a lot of flavor!

Thank you for sharing the is a great basis for so many other things. I tried what another reviewer said with eggs and good. I also just made a well in the biscuit for the filling and turned out great.

Best Lemonade Ever
Amazing!!!! I tried microwaving the halfed lemons to make for easier juicing and it worked great. I found 30 seconds was perfect and I could hand squeeze the lemons.
