About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. Bake anything really, if its fairly simple, I'll give it a go. I love cooking veggies with different spices, sometimes it turns out great, other times not so much, but the whole process is fun!
My cooking triumphs
So far, my hot chocolate. Only because people have asked me to make it for them so I guess thats it. Oh, just last week I made my first roast beef dinner, all by myself, it was a big accomplishment for me. But it was SO easy and very good, a bit salty but still good.
My cooking tragedies
There are a couple, but I'm still standing and the house isn't burnt down yet. I say yet because my family has a tendency to burn everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING. If you never thought burning water was possible, you never met my mother. :) One involves a bottle of ketchup exploding on me, needless to say, that day the ceiling got a good scrubbing, another time for christmas I made a 'tropical frozen ice cream pie' and it was really gross. But you just have to keep on creating.

Amazingly Good Eggnog
Seriously the best eggnog. I don't usually enjoy eggnog but I cannot get enough of this stuff! Plus I'm lactose intolerant so it has to be worth it for me to drink it. My only suggestions would be to double the recipe and add a bit less sugar. I usually do about 1-1.25 cups of sugar. My husband also thought there was too much cinnamon, but that might have been because the teaspoon wasn't levelled.

So good. Tastes great right after you mix the vodka. I had to pry it out of my husbands hands. So yummy!

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies
These DO NOT turn out like the picture... So don't think that they will.. I find they are quite tasty with the 1/4 w.sugar & 1/2 b.sugar.. BUT they aren't very presentable. As soon as I tried to take them off of the pan, they just clumped together, and I've tried longer batches and cooling them for a longer period of time but no luck.. So, don't make them for anyone else but yourself, unless you don't care about presentation.
