Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
Yummo! A great side dish with stuffed chicken breasts, pork chops, etc. I'm greedy so I added more butter and honey and my husband (who is a picky eater) begs me to make them. I cook them about 50 minutes and in the last few minutes I turn it up to Broil to brown them up a bit-make these (you won't regret it)

Taco Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
Great Base recipe. It wasn't a 5 star because I feel the fat content was Whoa! (way too high)...like other users I skipped the sour cream and just put a few dollops on top after baking-used low fat crescent rolls and used Morningstar starter "crumbles" instead of ground beef. This was my first time using this product and my meat eating bf could not tell the difference-he even raved about it all night long. will be making again for sure!

Easy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
Pretty good idea-french fried onions are great paired with tuna! we felt it needed more tuna so i rated it 4 starts. I also added extra "seasoning" some paprika and garlic salt to be exact. It also helps to add something "creamy" like milk or cream-this is now a staple in our home

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: May 12, 2010
Our family is now addicted to this recipe! I agree with previous readers and use a decent sauce. We use Sweet Baby Rays which is only about $1.50 a bottle on sale and it works great in this recipe. After the chicken is almost done-I shred the chicken and put it back in the crock on low for 20 minutes or so. I also add sliced onion-on my this is a great recipe!

Whit's Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: May 12, 2010
I was sceptical to try this recipe as there was no red sauce in it and I love the red sauce in my Enchiladas- I'm so glad I made this recipe-this is our new "go to" recipe for mexican night in our house. Enchiladas can dry out really fast but this one was perfect. I made a few small changes-boneless chicken breasts and cottage cheese instead of cream cheese for the inside and corn tortillas-WONDERFUL!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2010
I was sceptical because one of the other reviews and I'm a pretty honest person so I'm NOT sugar coating this review...Wow! These are by far the best cookies I've made! I only used butter (no shortening) and I took the advice from another reader and soaked my raisins in hot water for a few minutes before adding to the cookie dough-OMG these were the best! I baked for 9-10 minutes and I let sit for 2 minutes before I put in my tupperware to finish cooling.

Orange Sauce Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
I really had hoped this recipes was better :( The picture looks like the chicken is in bite size pieces so I cut the chicken before breading but this made it really time consuming-none the less I thought all of the work would be worth it but the end result was plain. I agree with the previous rating that this is a basic orange sauce-nothing asain so please don't expect it to be. I will not make this again :(

Swiss Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
I've made this recipe a few times and finally I read the other reviews and glad i did-with a few small changes this recipe was even better. Keep in mind it does taste salty so make sure to use low sodium soup and unsalted butter...Here are the other changes i made-mix stuffing with 3/4 can of soup and a splash of white wine Sherry (if you have it) and milk, then spread it in your dish, then cut chicken into bite size pieces, then top with cheese, melt butter and mix with remaining soup and pour over top. remove foil for last 10 minutes to brown the top-Perfecto! (my husband who normally never raves about chicken could not stop talking about this dish!

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
Can you say YUMM-MAY! I've made this recipe several times since I had first spotted it in 2008 and have gotten several compliments, usually I’m cooking for just 2 people so i cut the recipe in half, sometimes increasing the cheese and adding brown sugar (about 1/3 cup brown sugar) to the ketchup, mix well and spread on top of loaf to create a sweet glaze. -delicious

Cream Cheese Cookie Cups

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
The cookies alone are sweet enough, when you add all the cream cheese and sugar they, the tastes try to overpower each other and it ends up being way too sweet and the flavors do not compliment each other at all...also it was time consuming trying to shaping the dough to make room for the frosting...sorry but will not make again

Grandma's Peach French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
I've made this recipe 3 times in the last few months! The first few times i did find it a little soggy even with the day old bread but my co-workers and husband did not complain. I've experimented with frozen strawberries in place of the peaches (drained first of course). I also added the extra milk and egg-and found it was plenty moist. French toast lovers will most likely love this recipe!

Easy Broccoli Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
I agree with previous cooks...this is a good idea but the specifics of the recipes are off...I used a frozen deep dish pie crust and still had problems with egg/milk mixture pouring over (and yes i poured it really slow)...Here is how i made it work: First-use a really small onion or 1/2 of a larger one, used shredded cheddar instead of mozzarella and use only 3 eggs and 1 cup milk, I also added mushrooms and a little extra seasoning (like garlic salt in addition to regular garlic)...After all these changes my meat eating husband declared it a winner!

Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2009
Perfect enchiladas...we had tried out several enchilada recipes that were much more complex but did not taste as good as this one! This is my new go-to recipe! I used a 16oz can of enchilada sauce instead of the 10oz can and poured the remaining sauce over the enchiladas before baking...this was the perfect amount (they were not dry) Yum!

Asparagus Swiss Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2009
VERY good recipe. I used what I had on hand (green onion instead of white) and I added mushrooms and used pre-cooked bacon. My husband thought it had too much asparagus but after all it is an asparagus quiche :) will make again but cut back on the asparagus.

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2008
This recipe was very, very good! I cut the recipe in half because it was just myself and my boyfriend. I added 1/2 chopped onion and finely shredded carrot. I loved the cheese suprise inside the loaf. I will make this again, no doubt about it!
