Teriyaki and Pineapple Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2011
This was a good, quick, easy recipe. I followed to a T except for using fresh crushed garlic instead of the garlic powder. My family enjoyed it and I will make it again.

Chicken with Garlic, Basil, and Parsley

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2011
This was good, quick, and easy. I followed the recipe to a T, except for the following. . . added in about a tablespoon of olive oil to the bottom of the pain, and didn't use tomatoes because I didn't have any. I will definitely make this again. Also note, can be a tad on the spicy side with the red pepper, so you may want to lessen or eliminate all together. Overall, very good. Thanks.

Buttery Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2011
Easy, easy, easy! This was my 1st attempt at making homemade bread. I will definitely make them again. I did not have bread flour, so used white flour, but increased yeast by 1/4 to compensate. Yummy!

Spicy Mango Sweet Potato Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
I would give this 4-1/2 stars. . . It was a perfect blend of sweet & spice! I goofed & already had diced fresh mango mixed with diced fresh tomatoes, so my version included tomatoes. I also added a tad of onion cooked with the garlic. I doubled the amount of garlic (we love it), and only used a few splashes hot sauce. I did use a generation pinch of red pepper flakes. I also added in a pinch of ground ginger & cumin. It was very runny, but I didn't serve it over rice (didn't think I would need 2 carbs. . . potatoes & rice). . .I thought wrong. . . definitely serve over rice. I may cut down the liquid slightly the next time I make it, but I will be making this again! Thanks for submitting!

Blueberry Cream Cheese Pound Cake II

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2011
This was so good the 1st time around, that I'm making it again 2 days later, substituting canned dark cherries for the blueberries. Anticipating it will be just as good as the 1st one. I will definitely make this again!

Almond Cookies (Dim Sum Variety)

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
EXCELLENT! Quick, easy, and oh so good! Don't change a thing. Quite addicintg too. My daughter actually found this recipe and made it for a school project. After she made it and I tried it, I logged onto my account on AllRecipes to save to my recipe box and rate it. Since it only had 1 rating at the time of this writing, I would not have typically have made this. So glad she did, and I will definitely be making this again!

Basic Crepes

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2011
This was really good and super easy. I found it a little thick and had to add more milk and water, but I do live at a high altitude so that could account for it. I doubled the batch and added 1/3 cup sugar to the double batch as other reviewers had recommended. I will defnitely be making this again! Thanks for submitting!

Best Bruschetta Ever

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
This was good, even though I like quadrupuled it. It gave me what I needed for all the right ingredients. The one thing I did change was not to use seasoning salt. I did add a little bit of sea salt instead. This was the 1st time I made bruschetta and made it for a dinner party. Everyone loved it and said it was great. I will definitely make again.

Carol's Arroz Con Pollo

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
I would give this 3-1/2 stars. It was good, but not great. I did leave out the tomatoes 'cuz in Honduras where I live, the Arroz con Pollo doesn't contain them. I would use this as a base recipe and modify to fit my families taste. Thanks for submitting.

All-in-One Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2010
1st - I don't typically review something that I haven't followed exactly, but I had to say that this was a great starter recipe for me and it turned out excellent with the changes I made. Change highlights -- didn't dice chicken & pre-cook, put in whole in a roaster pan (used boneless thighs & breasts); didn't use mushrooms or zucchini, did use yellow/red/orange peppers; used fresh garlic, about 3 cloves, not garlic powder; used fresh ground bread crumbs, not seasoned. Put oil in bottom of roaster and tossed in cubed potatoes. Cooked for appx. 1/2 hr. Sprinkled potatoes with cinnamon, added in chx, garlic, onions, tossed, & cooked about another 1/2 hr. Tossed in peppers, bread crumbs, cheese, & additional oil. Cooked about 15 min. more. The oven was on about 375 the whole time. Definitely a keeper. Thanks for submitting.

Cream Cheese Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
This was quick, easy, and good. I took suggestions of other reviewers and made the following changes: 1 pkg cream cheese (softened), 1/2 Cup brown sugar, 1 Tbls Vanilla, and a splash of Vanilla-flavored milk. Yummy, yummy, yummy! I will make this again!

Penne with Shrimp

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2010
This was excellent! Used the list of ingredients as stated, with the minor change of using fresh tomatoes instead of canned. I increased the garlic, and used less red pepper, based on our tastes. This is a keeper and will definitely be made again! Thanks!

Taco Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2010
This was fantastic! I made it as stated, with one small change...I had left over taco meat (ground beef with taco seasoning) made, which is why I wanted a recipe to use it. I served it with salsa, sour cream, and homemade guacamole on the side. Both the family and the guests for dinner really liked it, and all went back for 2nds. Thanks for submitting. This is definitely going to be made again! Oh, I didn't use the green onion, only 'cuz we are not fans.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
I made this as banana bread instead of muffins, but followed the recipe exactly. The crumb topping was good, but I have definitely had better bread. I won't make this again. Sorry.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars II

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
This was a very good, quick recipe. I did take other's suggestions and used 1/2 semi-sweet and 1/2 milk chocolate chips. I also put some chocolate on the bottom, and then the rest on the top. It is a very rich dessert. I would make the following recommendations...make it in a larger pan (they were very thick) and also sift the powdered sugar. I had problems getting the smaller lumps to dissolve. Overall a great recipe, as I had everything I needed on hand. I will make these again.

Curried Chicken with Mango Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2010
This was ok. It was my 1st recipe using Curry. Both my hubby & kids said I didn't need to make it again. It was very bland, even though I took other's comments and added more curry. I thought the rice was good, even though a little on the sweet side. Being that I live in Honduras I'm always willing to try new recipes with Mango as it is my favorite fruit and bountiful during mango season. Thanks for submitting.

Chicken Stir-Fry

This was good, quick, and easy. I took other suggestions and add a splash of Worsteshire. I also put in a dash of red pepper. From start to finish I had this on the table in just under an hour.
