Guacamole

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2013
I used 3 very large avocados, and doubled everything but the tomato, garlic, and salt. This is absolutely fantastic.

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2012
I absolutely love this recipe. It's a bit time consuming, but easy and definitely worth it. I am going to experiment with less butter next time around. It was incredible as-is, but too rich to enjoy very much at once. Just personal preference.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2012
WONDERFUL pancakes. I had to substitute this soured milk with a "buttermilk" made from sour cream and milk. The batter was a bit thick with that mixture, but the pancakes came out incredibly fluffy. I can't wait to make these again with the proper mix of ingredients!

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
Makes a large pizza with THICK crust!! :) Delicious, but next time I'll be cutting everything in half to make a thinner crusted pizza. Crust has a nice crunch to it, while being soft on the inside.

Roasted Garlic Lemon Broccoli

Reviewed: May 14, 2010
This is AMAZING. I tried with just a small sprinkle of lemon juice, because I didn't have any fresh lemon and had a feeling the bottled kind would mostly likely not work out. Also went with less sea salt, as others mentioned. Even halving it wasn't enough of a cut. Next time, I'll just be sprinkling it on.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
Great tasting frosting. Not sure if I'm missing something here, but if you make the recipe just as described, (without knowing additional tips or tricks), you will get a frosting of VERY runny consistency. It tasted great on my carrot cake, and luckily I made it in a 9X13 pan. It ran all over the place, but managed to stay put on the sides of the pan.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
Great cookies! I followed a few other suggestions and mixed types of chocolate chips. I also cut them to a little over 1 cup, which seemed to be plenty. I used 1 Tbsp sized scoops, and left them rounded. They stayed fluffy, and made about 30 cookies. I cooked them 15 minutes this size, and they are still chewy, but I think I would have had even better cookies around 13-14 minutes. :) Thanks for the recipe!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2009
AMAZING recipe. Followed exactly. Topped with "Satiny Chocolate Glaze" from this site, and paired with sliced strawberries and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Delicious. Everyone told me to save this recipe and make it again!

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2009
It was great tasting. I mixed dark chocolate chips with milk chocolate. I rated at only 4 stars because it isn't really thin like I would have expected with a glaze. It's thicker, but hardens to a nice consistency.

Champagne Punch III

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
Got RAVE reviews at my New Year's Eve party. Everyone just LOVED it!!! Added lemon slices and frozen raspberries. Would definitely do again. Used Bellatore ($6.99/bottle) Gran Spumante champagne, and a cheap white wine. Cheap is not bad in this punch. You can't tell!! Be careful where you put this though, it's quite red (beautiful), but can stain and is sticky.

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
I LOVE this recipe!!!! Very very easy to make. I cook the chicken first, and while the other ingredients are heating, I let the chicken cool, then shred it by hand. I also added black beans, and used a can of corn instead of frozen. I get requests for this often!
