Peppered Shrimp Alfredo
This recipe even impressed my mother in law. And that is saying something. She has liked exactly 4 things I have made in the 2 years she has lived with us. My guests and hubby loved it too. I used less cayenne,(about a fourth of a teaspoon because we had some people who can't eat spicy foods, but if I HAD put it all in, my MIL and hubby would have even liked it better, I am sure. I like that you can change this to suit the people you are serving so easily...

Tanya's Snickerdoodles
TIP for squishing the cookies: My mother always used to grease the bottom of a water glass and use that to squish them down. I did that and it worked well - then you don't get the fork impressions. This cookie was the best recipe ever. I loved it. I took it to my son's school party and the teachers and parents all took some home. My husband ate about 30 in 2 days. I DID change the almond extract to 1/8 of what it asks for. I used the original 50 servings instead of the 25 it has been changed to and I WAS worried my little mixer would blow the motor. It is a very thick dough and if you just have a regular home mixer you might want to do only 25 at a time.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff II
I used to love my mom's stroganoff. Now I don't use her recipe because this one is ten times better (sorry, mom). Not your old time white stroganoff. I did add a packet of onion soup. I decreased the water to one cup and actually used one more can of golden mushroom soup. I had ground beef in the freezer one day and tried it instead of the cubed beef. It tasted even better. Make sure you drain the grease if you do that. My brother insisted I make more next time so he can take it in his lunch, and my husband and I fight over the leftovers!
