Curried Chicken and Brown Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2014
The DO loved this. My 2yr old ate it, but no mmm or yummy from him. He'll eat as much as a 225lbs man if he likes it enough, so I think he was ok with it. I thought it had good flavor, but next time I make it I'll definitely season and brown the chicken first as it was somewhat bland when eating a chunk alone. Also, I think next time I'll serve with sour cream or yogurt as a last minute dolup.

Creamy Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2014
My family really enjoyed this recipe. I did have to alter slightly only out of necessity and use a can of cream of mushroom instead of two golden mushroom acai only had one can....still great. It almost reminds me of Swedish meatballs Dr o m the nutmeg and cloves. I used the same quantity of black pepper and it gave it a nice little kick, not too much as my toddler still ate it with a mmmmmm. Oh and I added a little garlic powder when adding the salt and pepper only because I add garlic something to almost a dinner I make. Definitely try this if you like stroganoff and Swedish meatballs as its a nice blend of both.

Gumbo Style Chicken Creole

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2014
Maybe it's just me, but I was always raised that you can't cook cajun or creole without the trinity/mirepoix- onion, celery, and bell pepper. In my opinion it would be top notch with the addition of the celery and the adding in some dried thyme and cajun or creole seasoning. I think the last just adds nice needed kick to the spices of the dish.

Uzbek Plov (Lamb and Rice Pilaf)

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2014
following this recipe exactly for cooking times and so forth, everything was burned and unedible. Very disappointed. Lamb is not cheap either.

Fried Chicken with Creamy Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2013
I've been visiting this site for many years and tried so many versions of different fried chicken.....this is dynamite!!! I like a skin that has a bit more flavor to it, not just crisp and this was it. The only modification I made which is a personal preference was that I soaked my chicken in buttermilk beforehand. That is it. Everything else is the exact same. I do prefer to cook in an iron skillet as well as I think it promotes more even cooking. I suggest you definitely try this!!!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2013
I made this and didn't have any fresh rosemary, so had to use dried. It was very good even with the dried. My toddler loved it too and so did the DH.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
These are extra yummy! They have a really nice buttery flavor and are nice and soft. I add 1 tsp of baking powder just because I like my cooking fat..hehe! Either way with or without the BP, they are great!

These are great! I did as another suggested and added more vanilla, salt and added some baking powder, but even without they are delicious.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: May 6, 2012
These are very good if you like mild buffalo wings. If you prefer a little on the hotter side, you will need to either add more hot sauce or less butter. I like my wings extra crunchy, so after deep frying, I baked at 400 degrees for 5 mins on each side. I then add more hot sauce to make them spicier.

Chicken In Sour Cream

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2012
I love this recipe. It is tangy, but also rich. I've actually had people tell me that after eating this, they crave it and beg me to make it again. Nice and easy to make too...so a great meal on a budget and in a crunch. I like it was chicken rice-a-roni and a veggie as my quickie meal.

Famous Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
I love these chops. I have at this point stopped making other chops. I don't think you need a full 1/2 cup of butter though...maybe a 1/3 cup or less. Either way, crust is very yummy and the chops are juicy.
