Megan's Granola

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2013
Wonderful! This was my first try at homemade granola. I cut the recipe in half because I was unsure. I was afraid it might burn so I tried 225 degrees but it took about 2-3 hrs (finally I shut the oven off and left it for a couple hours and it crisped right up!) Also, subbed veg oil for coconut oil and used flax seed because I didnt have sunflower seeds. SO GOOD.

Breakfast Pies

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2012
This is such a great breakfast for kids! We use bisquick for the bottom and the kids love to help put all of the layers together. We serve with a small bowl of syrup or honey for dipping - sure it's not super healthy but very filling and fun!

Louisiana Sweet Potato Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
excellent! Easy enough to make and my whole family (toddlers too) loved them. Made me feel good that they were getting something more than just syrup! (I did reduce the amount of nutmeg by half and added cinnamon and vanilla).

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2009
These were excellent! They were so easy and delicious. I rolled some in cinammon & sugar, put choc chips in the middle of others and even topped a couple with dried cranberries. I did double the vanilla and recommend it. We froze half the batch and I think they were even better after they thawed :)

Sangria! Sangria!

Reviewed: May 22, 2009
Delicious! I made this with some of the hints by other reviewers - no sugar or carbonated water but used gingerale instead; also, I added peaches and apples with the other fruit and left out the cherries. This was a big hit!

Spanish Rice Original

Reviewed: May 22, 2009
Excellent! I added an extra 1/2 cup of rice and 1 cup of broth to feed a few extra people. (Also, I only used 3/4 of one onion, 1/2 of a green pepper and a can of diced tomatoes with green chilies and it turned out wonderful) Everyone raved!

Great recipe! I've made it 3 times now and it's been perfect each time. The last time I added a little cinammon and some chocolate chips - delicious!

These were SO easy and tasted excellent. I did add 2 teaspoons of vanilla as suggested by others, but I will definitely be making these again!

Stuffed Pork Chops I

Reviewed: May 18, 2009
Great dish, made it last week and my husband has requested it again this week. I didn't have any celery so I just used cream of celery soup and chopped mushrooms instead. I would recommend a little less broth or soup as the stuffing was a little too mushy for my taste, but the flavor was delicious!

Chicken Massaman Curry

Reviewed: May 18, 2009
We recently moved from NYC to NC and I was really missing this great Thai dish. I made this recipe for my husband last week and it was awesome!! The only thing I substituted was equal parts Worcestershire sauce for the Tamarind paste. I also added onions, sw potatoes and a few strips of bell pepper. It was fantastic, can't wait to make it again!
