Microwave Baked Potato

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
I'll try cooking the potato in a paper bag next time but the recipe gets 4 stars as is. Would not recommend cooking anything with plastic wrap touching the food itself as it can cause chemicals to leech into what you're microwaving (even microwave-safe plastic wrap recommends keeping the food 1 inch away from the wrap). I'll use this technique next time I make twice baked potatoes.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2011
I used vanilla buttercream frosting to mimic Lofthouse cookies and they were better than the real thing. The cookies are much better when they are cut thick.

Chicken Stew with Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2011
The dumplings were fantastic. I added two extra cups of water and thought the stew would be too soupy so I added an extra potato which soaked up most of the water. Next time I'll half the potatoes and add whatever additional veggie I have on hand.

Beer Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
I used a light lager since that was all I had on hand and didn't change the recipe at all. I thought it was great and will be a great recipe to play with - next time I will use a dark beer and add aged cheddar and jalapenos or bacon.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
This is the best banana bread recipe ever!! It is so forgiving - if your missing bananas you don't absolutely need to add them all.. once I was out of eggs and used an extra banana to compensate and it still turned out great

Mom's Good Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
The dough was awsome! I proofed the dough a little longer than I was supposed to and ended up making 2 dozen rolls which cooked in about 20 mins. I also made a sticky sauce for one of the batches, the other batch I will frost as has been suggested.
