About this Cook
Growing up in Louisiana, food is part of our culture. When we are making breakfast, we are already talking about lunch. (You know you are Cajun when...)
My favorite things to cook
That changes on a daily basis. One day it will be a good ole gumbo. Then next day a curry or tikka masala. I'm all over the globe ;)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Gumbo, jambalaya, and red beans and rice.
My cooking triumphs
Most recipes I've tried from this website...Those chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes were very, very delicious!!
My cooking tragedies
Souffle. That is all I'm going to say. I think most people can sympathize.

World's Best Lasagna
Very good indeed. I made it as is. I guess I didn't read the recipe closely because I bought shredded mozzarella instead of sliced. I'm sure sliced would have tasted even better. (more cheese makes everything better) I usually have to add my own twist to things, so I added a bechamel sauce. A little on the bottom layer and the rest of it on the top layer. MMMMMM! Do it. I used a Mario Batali recipe, and basically licked the bowl clean.

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf
You just can't go wrong with that much cheese! I've been making a variation of this recipe for a few years now. Turkey meatloaf is my favorite!!

Red Lentil Curry
Loved it. I made it as is and it was a hearty, comforting food. Perfect in cold weather and serve over basmati rice.
