I made the most fabulous crabcakes, from this website, trying to recreate my favorite crabcakes that I had on vacation at Nags Head, NC, at the Lucky 12 Tavern. Man, they were good!

I really ruined some oysters one time. I try to forget about that one.

Pasta e Fagioli I
This was the perfect soup for my leftover Easter ham. I used half chicken broth, half beef stock. I had some chicken broth already in the fridge that I needed to use. And I used pinto beans. Didn't smash any of them, just left them whole. And if I had a zucchini on hand I would have chopped that up and thrown that in too! Sprinkled a little parmesan on top when I served. Hubs sprinkled some red pepper on top of his. Loved this soup!

Banana Cake VI
Loved this cake! I had three over ripened bananas to use up and this was the perfect recipe for them. Such simple ingredients! I did bake my cake an extra 15 min. The center was still mushy at just an hour. Also, I just couldn't bring myself to put that hot cake in my freezer with all my frozen stuff. But after it cooled off I kept it in the fridge. I love cold cake! I frosted it with pre-made cream cheese frosting because I guess I got lazy! The family loved it, so that makes it a keeper in my book :)

Shoyu Chicken
I know I have made this in the past and loved it. This time I fixed the marinade exactly as written and whoa was it hot and spicy! Definitely opened everyone's sinuses! Of course, my spicy hubby loved it, but I did notice he drank more tea with dinner! Served with just plain white rice which did help with the super spicy chicken. Next time I'll try cutting the cayenne in half versus the full tsp.!
