Bordelaise Sauce with Mushrooms

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2013
So tasty! Really easy to make and it tastes like mushroomy heaven. I used red onions to add a little sweetness. Makes a great change from creamy mushroom sauces or gravy on meat or mashed potatoes.

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: May 17, 2013
There's nothing wrong with them, but I've had/made much better. The bready part isn't very fluffy. Cinnamon rolls take so much time and resources to make it's disappointing when they aren't amazing. I will keep looking for a better recipe.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2013
by 40 mins it was well cooked and a bit dry. There is an aftertaste of baking soda in the cake, It is edible, but I wouldn't make it again.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2012
I thought my previous peanut butter cookie recipe was pretty good. These are far superior, so easy to make and quite hearty with the peanut and oats. I add a little vanilla but otherwise this is great as-is.

Rich and Delicious Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
I was dubious when I started - so few ingredients and the order of adding them to the bowl is a bit strange - but this is really simple and good. It's a great base to add your own twist to or leave as is when you want something yummy but don't have much in the pantry.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2012
They're good, they're just not '5 stars' good. I added nutmeg and vanilla and put the dough in the fridge for 30 mins - its too soft to work otherwise.

Fluffy White Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2011
It's yummy, easy and makes a lot. I made this without an electric beater - it still works. Make sure you let the sugar bubble for 7 minutes. People who are giving negative reviews because it tastes like marshmallow/meringue - That is what it's supposed to be like.

Blueberry Coffee Cake I

its good but you need to double the recipe to fill a bundt pan. Add a bit more milk too.

Beat and Bake Orange Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
Its ok. The icing that other reviews rave about it just ordinary icing with a bit of orange flavour in it. The cake tastes a bit like a giant pancake, I probably wouldn't make it again, but it was edible.

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
I made this in a 9x13 pan as suggested and had no problems with the crust being too thin, however 'juice of 2 lemons' is far too vague - I used 4 small lemons (about 1/4 c juice) and 1 tsp zest. It tastes good, but I think about 1/3 - 1/2 cup would be ideal. Really tasty and simple to make - just needs clearer lemon instructions.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
Really good, quick and easy. I add in 1/2 C shredded coconut and instead of chocolate chips I just coarsely cut up a chocolate bar. Drop the batter onto cookie sheets then put in the fridge for an hour - they'll hold their shape a lot better.

This recipe makes a delicious pie and it's so quick and easy, next time I would double the amounts for a fuller pie.

Herbed Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
Really good, really simple, makes enough to fill a pot of soup. Listen to the other users and don't put in a whole teaspoon of salt, I think that must be a typo.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
These are fantastic, I got given 100 peanut butter cups as a gift, I cut them into 1/4's and they work just as well. I didn't even wait for them to cool down before passing them around!

cheap easy and quick, this one is a winner when I'm all out of groceries at the end of the week. I like to jazz it up with a few extra vegetables.
