Granny's Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2000
I need a 6th card to rate these superb brownies!!! I made them for a Valentine's dinner last night and my guests almost ate the pan! I will double the recipe the next time I make them!

Delicious! We use more black pepper, but that's just a personal preference.

Good, but far from the best I've ever tasted.

Jiffy Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2000
These are good, but by no means compare with cinnamon rolls made with yeast. These are great if you are in a hurry, but aren't close the the "real thing".

French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2000
I toasted several pieces of french bread on a cookie sheet in the oven, topped toast with the meat and some "juice"; then covered with Jack cheese and ran under the broiler. Served with a fork! Delicious!!! Next time I will add some onion and worcestershire sauce and decrease the amount of thyme (to suit my hubby's tastes). Great recipe!

Cakes In A Cone

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2000
These treats are cute and taste good IF eaten the day they are baked. If made the day before serving they are a DISASTER!!! The cones get gooey and soggy the next day.

Spinach Dip I

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2000
I added about 2 chopped green onions and used Knorr brand dry veg. soup mix (in my opinion it's the best). This dip is great and so easy to make! Great with bread, Ruffles, or veggies!!!

Bill's Divinity

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2000
I've tried this recipe twice and it does not set up for me. Mine was a gooey, sticky mess. I've always seen divinity recipes that went to about 248 degrees for half the syrup, then about 272 for the other half.

Cheese Ball II

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2000
This cheese ball is great IF you really LOVE black olives. We do not, so I made it the 2nd time with about 1/4 the bl. olives originally called for and it was great! I will leave the olives out all together next time.

Gina's Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2001
We thought this cake was good, but not the best. Does not have enough flavor. I think 2 tsp. of vanilla and 1 tsp. each of lemon and orange would help.

Gourmet Chicken Pizza

Exceptionally good pizza!! I have made it twice and my family already wants it again. The second time I added a few more green onions and used Bacon-Ranch dressing (I also use Roma tomatoes). YUM!!! This recipe is excellent!!

I made this for a potluck meal at church and it was "gone" in a matter of minutes. Very impressive - the filling tastes very smooth and elegant!

Swiss Vegetable Medley

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2001
I, too, have made this for years. I like cheddar cheese better than Swiss and I use a small can (2.8 oz) of fried onion rings (not 6 oz. as listed). Also, I add about 1/4 cup milk with sour cream to keep casserole from getting too sticky. Also, always make sure veggies are thawed or they don't get done.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2002
This recipe was bland to me (even to my kids thought so). After I made several modifications, it was great. I added more garlic, onion, lime juice, and stirred about 1/3 cup medium picante sauce into the chicken. Also, added more salt and some Cummin.

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2002
Very easy and delicious recipe! I have made it twice - first by the exact recipe. Second time, I added 3/4 c. raw rice to the bottom of the pan, stirred in 1+ tsp. of taco seasoning and poured in approximately 1 1/2 cups chicken broth. I then laid the prepared chicken on top. Covered with foil and baked 45 min. Uncovered to melt cheese. YUM!!
