Garlic Alfredo Tilapia

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
This was excellent! I basically followed the directions except I made my own alfredo sauce (1/4 cup butter, 1 cup milk, 1 cup grated parmesan, garlic) then I added some cajun seasoning to the sauce as well as sprinkled on the fish. The whole family loved it! Served over angel hair pasta and had a side of broccoli...awesome!

Slow Cooker Beef Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
This was sooo easy and with my SLIGHT changes, it was wonderful! I cubed up 3 large potatoes instead of adding a can of potatoes (just because that is what I had). I put in only a 14 oz can of diced tomatoes instead of the 28 oz can. I added a can of mixed veggies along with the carrots, green beans and corn. I did not add much of the juices from the cans...instead I put in a carton of beef broth with the stew meat. I mixed the packet of onion soup mix with 1 beef boillion cube and 3/4 cup of water before I added that. Put it all in the crock pot on low before I left for work and 9 hours later we had delicious beef vegetable soup on a yucky chilly rainy day! Tastes just like my mom's! I have always been afraid to try to make it myself just because hers is sooo good!! I'm so glad I did!!! Definitely worth a try if you like vegetable soup...YUM!!!

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2010
Yum! I LOVE French Onion Soup when we go out and now I make it at home! I do follow the recipe for the most part, but I do brown the onions some...it adds more flavor as others have said. I do not use the sherry or thyme...instead I add 2 Tbsp Worchestershire Sauce. Then, instead of French bread, I just use croutons...they don't get as soggy. The end result is delicious!

Tammy's Philly Cheese Steak Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2010
This is an awesome recipe! The only thing I do different is add the chopped roast beef in the skillet when cooking the onion and green pepper. I prefer my roast beef browned. I follow everything else exactly and it comes out great every time! YUMMY!!

New Orleans Corn Bisque with Smoked Sausage

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2009
My entire family LOVED this! I added extra potatoes - probably 3 cups or so. I used Tastefully Simple Onion Onion in replace of the chopped onion. Besides that, I followed it exactly. It was sooo good! The only other change I would make next time would be to brown the sausage before adding it. That would add a little more color and a little more flavor. This is definitely going to be made again at my house! UPDATE: I have made this SEVERAL more times. I now make it with turkey smoked sausage and skim milk. Tastes just as good! Don't hesitate to try it! My family asks for "sausage soup" all the time!

Chocolate Scotcheroos

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2009
I absolutely love these! I do make a couple changes though. First, I double both chips to 2 cups each. Second, I add peanut butter to the corn syrup and sugar before heating. I bring it just to a boil...one bubble...and I take it off the stove and immediately add cereal. I have never had them get hard or crunchy when doing it this way. Must try recipe!

Fruit Dip II

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
I have used this recipes for years! It is awesome! It is even better with a few drops of orange or raspberry extract added to it. The orange is my favorite, but the raspberry makes it look so pretty. The best fruit dip ever!

Anna's Amazing Easy Pleasy Meatballs over Buttered Noodles

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
My family absolutley loves this recipe! I cut it in half and use cream of mushroom instead of celery and I have used beef broth instead of onion soup. It turns out great every time! I also add a can of mushrooms and serve of noodles...no extra butter needed. Delicious! UPDATE: I have made this so many times now and have it perfected...in my opinion at least...I now use 2 cans cream of mushroom soup, 1 can beef broth mixed with 1 packet dry onion soup mix, 4 oz sour cream and 1 - 1 1/2 lbs meatballs. It's so good!

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2008
I have almost the exact same recipe that my grandma gave me. There are only a couple changes: Add 4 tsp. baking powder, use only 1 tsp. vanilla and only 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips. Then, bake at 375 for 8-9 minutes. They turn out wonderful and moist every time!
