Fall Harvest Baked Apples

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2008
Very tasty, but they didn't get tender for much longer than the recipe said.

Stir-Fry Pork with Ginger

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2008
This tasted like ginger candy. It was really very tasty with a subtle heat. The only addition I made was that I added a bit of garlic to really make the ginger pop.

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2008
I've made this twice, once as directed and once using eggwash and more breadcrumbs as suggested by other reviewers. Both times it was very tasty. The first time is considerably lighter, and the breadcrumbs act just as a bit of texture difference. Using the eggwash, they took on a breading function. Both very good, and very different. Next time I'm going to try a little dijon mustard on the inside, which I think would round out the flavors.

Japanese Zucchini and Onions

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2008
This was really good. My boyfriend (usually a vegophobe) ate everything up. I only wish that I had had a hotter pan, then the liquid might've reduced further.

Easy Chicken Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2008
Super easy and very tasty. I added breadcrumbs, as others suggested. I also cooked my chicken in a pan, and used the water and soup to deglaze the pan. It gave everything a nice, complex chicken flavor. Definitely will make again.

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2008
This was really tasty. I've been searching for a sloppy joe recipe that doesn't call for onions and peppers (picky eaters) and this is perfect. It's a little on the sweet side, so I'm going to experiment with cutting out or cutting down the brown sugar. I doubled the recipe, since I had a pound of beef and it made plenty. Made four sandwiches on standard sized hamburger buns and had enough left over that I could probably make two more.
