These are wonderful! It does make a lot...but you don't have to fry them all up. Keep in fridge and can easily make fresh ones in the morning! :D Did not change a thing!

Whole Egg Mayonnaise

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2011
I use this recipe all the time. It is fast and easy to make. Tastes so much better than store bought and, since I use grape-seed oil, it is actually healthy! Grape seed oil does not leave any taste at all. Some times I add a little paprika.... :) I also exchange the lemon juice and white vinegar once in a while...depending on my mood and what I have on hand. I put everything but the oil in a wide mouth quart canning jar, use my stick blender, have the oil in a squeeze bottle with a long nozzle (so it can fit down into the jar as I am blending) and put the lid on the jar when I am done. Less mess...and that is always good! ;) I also label it with the date made....cause my life is busy and sometimes it is hard to keep track of when I made it ;)

Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2011
This is an excellent base. I am always tweaking recipes to fit my families taste. :) My changes.... I left out the dry onion soup mix....too much salt! I do add onions. I add tomato sauce or chopped tomatoes depending on what I have on hand. I leave out the bell peppers because I do not like the taste. I add mushrooms. I add lower sodium beef broth or vegetable broth. I also add some paprika, sage, oregano, thyme, basil, rosemary, cracked black pepper, minced garlic....these add flavor but do not mess with the diuretic properties of the soup.

Peppy's Pita Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2011
This was sooooo much easier than I imagined! I used my Kitchen Aid and dough hook. Proofed the yeast (water, sugar, yeast) for 15min, added the oil, then the flour and salt. ( I had previously sifted together while yeast was proofing) I used 1.5 cups AP flour and 1.5 cups spelt flour. Used a tortilla press to make them thin and round. :) Turned out wonderful!!!! Will be making these often! Thank you Sandy!!! I really wish I could rate it higher than five stars! ;)

Lemon Cream Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
I LOVE this! I made some homemade rigatoni from the semolina and egg pasta recipe from this site. I also cooked cut up chicken in a pan, I like the crust on it. I used real garlic, peppercorn, paprika and rosemary. I also added some onion. Personal preferences. I deglazed the pan with lemon cello. Reduced that with the lemon juice and some lemon zest. Added the chicken broth then added enough cream to thicken it to my liking. I poured this over the cooked pasta...homemade pasta takes two-three min to cook in boiling water and did not know if it would be over cooked doing as stated in recipe, I like my pasta a little al dente. Also put some grated parm on top. I still give it five stars even though I changed the original recipe to suit my tastes. I do not look at recipes with low rating, would be a shame not to try this one. I always read the reviews and I ALWAYS tweak recipes.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2010
I loved this! I tripled the spices...except for the ginger...and added cardamon. I did add 4 Tablespoons of cinnamon. Also used brown sugar in place of white sugar. I enjoy more spice and the flavor brown sugar adds. I have people begging me to make more. WONDERFUL recipe!

This is sooo good! I use a machine on the dough setting then knead it one more time, shape it, let it rise then bake in the oven. Love that it is only whole wheat flour and NOT heavy! Thanks!!!

Eileen's Spicy Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
These cookies are great! I used 3/4 cup brown sugar in place of the granulated sugar, Dumped a bunch of cinnamon in ;) added 1/4 teaspoon cardamom and did not have cloves so I put in allspice. I also left the dough in a zip lock bag, in the fridge over night. I did not even get a chance to frost them! I will have to double the batch next time. :)

Angie's Perfect Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
These are GREAT! I halved the recipe because I didn't think that my bread machine could handle almost 8 cups of flour ;) I also added a little bit more salt and a half cup more of flour and a added a full half cup of sugar. My family started to eat them before dinner and ate with dinner and more after dinner. NONE left...and they wanted more! I have to make more tomorrow! haha!
