The great thing about this recipe is that it is so versatile and you can add and omit anything that you want! I decided to take out the sunflower seeds and add more pecans, almonds and rolled oats. I didn't want to add any maple syrup and instead added more honey and it tasted great. I preferred to bake it longer on each side, about 12 minutes, so the nuts were toasted a little bit. I added cranberries in the beginning with the rest of the dry ingredients and it turned out fine. Instead of having to mix in the middle of the baking time, I took a pan out of the oven, placed parchment paper on top, then placed a cookie pan on top and flipped the whole thing so the granola was flipped and I wouldn't have to stir - it worked out great but make sure you have a good grip of both pans or else granola goes flying! Have fun with this recipe and remember, you can't go wrong with the ingredients!
