I have a degree in art but that doesn't make me an artist. I am more or a crafty person. This in not a bad thing, it's just not as profitable as ,say Andy Warhol. To that end here are some things I have done other then cooking.
                                                                                                                                                                                                    <
I sew , knit and crochet, I do them better then average. I paint ,sculpt, and carve not so well.

Made this for my Mother in Law ... she was happy . I was glad to do it for her.

How can you not love a baby in a beard hat?

This is the set I made for the new grand baby the cradle is what pawpawpaw made.

Made this when I stopped smoking.

Had to make Izzy a beard hat also.

If you not laughing at this picture then you need a defibrillator.

I had a blast making these hats, almost as much fun watching people laugh at

the one wearing them. Next thing on the list is a bunting bag for new

grand baby and a coat for Izzzy . She was with me in Joann's I think she hangs

out too much with me. She wants to learn to sew now and Thinks it's so much

fun to see what new fabric came in at "Granny's Store" aka Joann Fabrics.

WOW! You are so crafty and artsy fartsy. I see your hubby is talented as well. You are so gifted and I love your sense of humor. A beard hat?? That's a first for me. Thanks for all the beautiful pictures. I'd love to see more when you finish them. : )

I thought I had seen it all but I was mistaken - A Bearded Hat! LOL! Beautiful crafting and a lot of time and love creating these works of art. By the way, love your beautiful hair. Great blog!

You have crafty art talent with a sense of humor! What could be better! Love the beard hats!!!

NO you are talented, not artsy fartst crafty. That's me decoupaging cigar boxes with cut outs from greeting cards. Lame I know, but it was fun and people SAID they liked them. One guy keeps his remotes in them next to his barcalounger. I covered it in camoflage paper.

Love the beard hats, Robo!

Camo decoupage remote holder? I'd pay to see that, CG!

Great work! Encourage Izzy - I have such great memories of my grandmother teaching me to sew and crochet. I think of her whenever I pick up a crochet hook. I just wish I had more patience, I get antsy (as opposed to artsy) working on anything that takes too long.

OK Robo. I held off responding to your quest of Artsy.. crafty or fartsy... In my artistic being (results are...) is there really a difference? You got that gene baby! Those crafty chicks don't put beards on crochet hats... catch my drift?

You are truly gifted! Love the hats! I'd like to see a Santa beard with a hat! My grandma used to crochet, sew and knit--I can't say I can do justice to what she would come up with. I have a sewing machine, but I can't seem to get to it. You have inspired me-love the MIL bag.

To steal from Fracks blog, This is a freakin' fractaculous, fabulous gift you have. EMBRACE IT!! What's old is new again and so many younger kids are really starting to get into some of these fun and creative art projects like knitting, crocheting, etc. I feel bad for a generation of 20-35 somethings that seem to have been cheated out of learning some of these great skills. You are very talented and have such a fun sense of humor. Love it and now I want to try the bearded hat. Last year, my best friends husband is a hunter, and quite the kidder...always has some kind of comment about something. He teases unmercifully, so for Christmas, I knitted him a camouflaged thong. He needed to keep warm in the woods while hunting you know :) He loved it......mission accomplished.

Wow thanks all for the wonderful up lifting comments. I was wondering if I was asking to much for my hats. Now I feel better about it. Thanks for all the input. I wish I could hug all of you.

About Me
My other hobby is grand kids.I don't know why anyone would but My e-mail is Other blog Kids talked me into facebook Robin Davis.
My favorite things to cook
Any thing that makes another happy. I love to eat, but I love to cook for others more. I like to see a big smile. To be honest I like to hear Wow that was good
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas cookies with the kids and now grandkids. I have one of my own. I love to sit thumb through my grandmothers & mothers old cook books and notes. They would review and rate them in the margins. My mother would also leave slips of papper in between the pages with jokes on them so she would not forget the punch lines.
My cooking triumphs
I would have to say I have two, the Hot Pepper Jelly in this site. Came out wonderfull the first time. Making my own corned beef.
My cooking tragedies
About every 4th time I make divinity. I know what I'm doing... but it's like the cooking angels are giving me a leson in humble.
