Tiger Butter II

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2010
This recipe is supereasy. I used a 10x10 pan because I didn't want the pieces to be too thin. Next time I think I will use more semisweet chocolate, as I think the saltiness in the peanut butter was too strong for my liking.

My husband didn't like it, but I'm giving it 4 stars anyway as he's just picky. I think it's nice!

Chocolate Surprise Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2009
I'm sorry but I really didn't like this recipe. The chocolate part is nice, but the sourness of the cream cheese totally put me off.

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Nice recipe, just needs some extra spices that will make your taste buds tingle, but I can't really put my finger on it....

Caramel Shortbread Squares

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
This is really delicious! I didn't find corn syrup here in the Netherlands, so I used something called sugar syrup. I didn't wait for the shortbread to cool off before adding the caramel (which you have to cook on a really low fire otherwise it burns really quick). The shortbread does crumble a lot, but the taste is worth the mess!

Emily's Famous Chocolate Shortbread Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
Wonderful receipe, made the cookies for my son's 2nd birthday, all the mums loved it and asked me for this recipe. Just watch out that you don't bake the cookies too long or they will dry out. For me 8 minutes was enough - as soon as the top looked a bit dry I took them out. They were still a bit soft but hardened well when they cooled off.

White Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
This is a great receipt, but my god it's so sweet! I'll definately make it again but I'll put in a bit less sugar. I baked the whole cake in one time, took 1hr instead of 35 minutes, but it's less work. The cake rises while baking, but gets compact when cool - stays very moistue which I like. As with the frosting, it feels very crunchy when just made, but tried it again after about 4 hrs and the sugar melted nicely and texture was smooth. I'm thinking of trying this frosting with a brown chocolate cake...

THE Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
I used this recipe as main course, and added some chopped fried chicken breast. Came out really nice, I think it's a good recipe for a warm summer day.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
I'm sorry, but I really didn't like this marinade, found it too overpowering. The taste of the meat was not there anymore, all I could taste was the marinade and I marinaded it for less than an hour. My husband took a bite of the meat and just left the rest on the plate.

Really nice soup on a cold day. I like to sprinkle some cheese on top and let it melt down.

Creamy Zucchini Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
I just tried it yesterday, really good. I used chicken stock instead of vegetable and in the beginning fried some bacon strips and then fried the onion and the rest in the oil that came out of the bacon. Will definately do it again!
