I made this on Saturday night. First, I rubbed a 4 lb pork butt with mccormick grill mates pork rub. Then, I added the rubbed pork butt, 1/2 diced vidalia onion, 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar and 1/4 cup of beef broth to a crockpot. I let this all cook on low for 8.5 hours. Then, I took out the pork butt and onion and discarded the liquid. I pulled the meat from the bone and put the pulled pork and onion back in the crockpot with a bottle of Sticky Fingers Memphis BBQ sauce and a teaspoon of liquid smoke and let this all cook on low for 1 hour. The liquid smoke really made a difference. Then we made sandwiches with potato rolls. It was excellent.
