Cabbage and Smoked Sausage Pasta

This recipe was pretty plain. Not enough flavor for as much cabbage as it calls for. Had to add about three times as much meat. Won't make again.

No-Cream Pasta Primavera

I followed this recipe exactly and it was a big disappointment. I think that maybe if the seasonings had been added to the veggies as they were roasting it would have tasted better. Not sure. It was just disappointing.

Grilled Grouper with Mango Butter

This is a great recipe! Easy to make. The mango sauce is perfect. I ended up putting it into a blender because it separated (butter), then just served it over the grouper. Hubby loved it too. We even caught the grouper:) Yum! Thanks so much!

Ukrainian Meat Filled Cabbage Rolls

These were really good. Made them with our organic savoy cabbage from our garden. The sauce was too thin, even with 4 tablespoons of flour and some cornstarch. Next time I'll reduce it in a double-boiler (otherwise it will burn). Dill is great. Winner!

Classic Fried Rice

This was a real hit, but I made changes: Added a few more bacon strips and another egg;didn't have the green onions, so substituted with a regular onion and 1/2 green pepper; added chopped fresh mushrooms, and sprinkled with some Adobo seasoning at the end. This was heavy on the grease, so after cooking each item (bacon, eggs, veggies) I drained the grease on paper towels. This got raves, and fed a lot of people!
