Pork Tenderloin with Dijon Marsala Sauce

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
Wow! I am so impressed with this recipe! It was absoloutly delicious and very easy. When my mother in law saw what I was cooking she said she felt like she was in a fancy restaurant. I sauteed some mushrooms before browning the pork and set those aside. I prepared the marsala sauce when the pork had about 15 minutes left to cook. I added the mushrooms to the sauce and let it simmer and thicken. This is without a doubt the best recipe I've gotten on the website, and I've used a lot. It is my new favorite!!!!

Chicken and Sun-Dried Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: May 29, 2011
This was so simple and so delicious! Nice and light, perfect for a summer lunch or dinner. It was a huge hit at my card party and I passed the recipe on to several people. I served it with the focaccia bread but it was just as yummy by itself. All the flavors worked wonderfully together. I could not find sun dried tomatoes without oil so I used ones packed with oil and it turned out fine.

Slammin' Salmon

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
I am giving this 4 stars because the flavor was very good, however, it had too much heat for my taste. I would tweak it next time using less ginger and probably no red pepper flakes.

Kathy's Delicious Whole Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
I followed the recipe except for omitting the sesame oil (did not have on hand). I loved the flavor and found the chicken to be very tender. Could have been a little moister, but I cooked it on high for 4 hours. I made gravy from the remaining liquid and it was delicious! And the smell in the house while it cooked...wonderful!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2012
This recipe is the epitome of comfort food. It made my kitchen smell amazing while baking and tasted even better. I had never made chicken pot pie before and I found this recipe to be very easy. I did as other reviewers did and brushed the bottom and the top of the crust with egg white. This worked great. It looked pretty and tasted delicious!

Crisp Lemon Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
These are just what I was looking for; a light, crispy on the outside edge, soft in the middle, lemony cookie. I followed the recipe except for adding an extra teaspoon of lemon extract. They make a great cookie to eat with a hot cup of tea.

Delicious Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
Very impressed! These turned out as delicious as promised. I used the shortening and also changed the brown sugar to 1 cup and used 1/4 cup of white sugar. I baked them at 350 degrees for 8 minutes and let them cool about 5 minutes before transferring to the cooling rack. They are melt in your mouth yummy!!!! I also have to say I really like the vanilla flavor. It adds alot to the taste of the cookie.

Stuffed Peppers My Way

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
This was my first attempt at stuffed peppers and I couldn't be more pleased with them. Not only were they super easy to prepare but they were absolutely delicious! I substituted brown rice, parmesan cheese and diced canned tomatoes only because thats what I had on hand. This is one of those recipes that you can really improvise with whatever is in your pantry or fridge.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

YUMMY! Nice and creamy and not too heavy. I used this on a spice cake and it was a great combination. I halved the recipe and it was plenty for the cake.

White Chocolate Macadamia Cranberry Dreams

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
This is one delicious little cookie! Very light, buttery, and just sweet enough. I made these for our annual family cookie exchange and they were a hit! I ended up giving the recipe out. I have to say I had a heck of a time finding macadamia nuts. They are a wonderful addition to this recipe but the dough is so good you could add anything to it and it would be yummy. My new favorite cookie!

Never Fail Applesauce Spice Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2010
I thought this cake was delicious, however, at first I thought it was a bit dry. After letting it sit for a few days it became more moist. I had read the same comment from another reviewer. I thought it had great flavor but I was not crazy about the nuts in the cake. I would leave them out next time. The icing is fantastic!

Rosemary Roasted Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
I had never cooked a pork tenderloin before and decided to try this recipe. It was not only delicious but very easy to make. The meat was very juicy and tender. After marinating it overnight, I froze half of the tenderloin to cook another night. When I did cook the frozen one, it was just as good as the first.

Mexican Chicken Corn Chowder

This was a great soup to make on a cold rainy day. I loved all the flavor and the thickness. I used tortilla chips to scoop it out...delicious. Even better a few days later.

Basic Mexican Guacamole

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
I never knew I loved guacamole so much untill I made this recipe. The simple ingredients is what makes this so delicious. I think the coarse salt is a key ingredient as it adds great flavor. I have made it with and without tomatoes. Wonderful either way. A friend of mine let me in on a little secret...put the avacado seed in the middle of the guac to keep it from turning brown. It really does work.

Apple Crisp III

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
I have made this a few times now (twice in the last week) and it is so delicious and extremely simple. I used three different apples, granny smith, northern spy, and jonathan. You coud really use any kind and you won't go wrong. The crumb topping is to die for...the exact same as my mom's apple pie topping.

Microwave Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
Ended upaking this three times and finally got it. Followed the recipe the first time and it burned. Cut time by 1 minute for each cook time the second time around and it didn't cook enough. Finally, cut each cooking time by 30 seconds and that seemed to work. Although I have to say, the nuts still had a burnt flavor. This was not as good as I had hoped. Probably will try another recipe.

Golden Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
This turned out so delicious. It was very easy to put together and didn't take long to fix. My 5 year old loved it and so did I. The one problem I ran into was that I could not find shredded American cheese at the grocery. I bought cheese slices instead and cut them into strips. I used bacon instead of ham: SO GOOD!!! I will be passing this recipe on to everyone I know.

Chef John's Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2013
This was my first peach cobbler and I have to say, not only is it scrumptious, it is extremely easy to make. This is something even a beginner can do and really impress their crowd. I used cinnamon in place of the Chinese spice and lemon juice rather than lemon peel. I do not have a cast iron skillet (although I am dying to have one) so I used a baking stone type deep lasagna pan. Baked 50 minutes at 350. The cobbler came out soft and chewy inside with a crispy outer crust. I reserved some of the syrup and used it to put over once I spooned it into a bowl with some vanilla ice cream. If you do not serve this with vanilla ice cream, you are not doing this dessert justice!!!

Cola Pot Roast I

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2013
I was hesitant to try this recipe as I didn't want to ruin a good roast. But I was tired of my usual pot roast recipe so I gave this a try. I thought this turned out really good and my boyfriend thought so also. I did tweak the ingredients a bit. I did not use a full can of Pepsi only because I was nervous it would be too sweet. I also used 4 Tablespoons of tomato paste and 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning instead of dry spaghetti mix. I had a 2 lb. roast and this was plenty to cover the roast in the crock pot. Overall I was very happy with it and would make it again.
