Summer Corn Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2007
Didn't have any fresh corn (but TONS of tomatoes) so used canned corn. Very simple and very good! Will make this again!

Cheese Soup III

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2003
Didn't have any American cheese on hand so I substituted shredded Colby Jack. Followed the rest of the recipe to the letter. Very tasty but a bit watery. Next time I will add A LOT more potatoes to thicken it up. The hot sauce is a great touch!!! All in all, very good, very easy and a definite keeper!

Savory Montreal Steak Rub

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2004
This is a really good rub! I used it on both a good cut of beef and again on a much cheaper cut -- it was great on both!

Easy Snack Wraps

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2004
Made this for a birthday party at work. I arrived at 7:30 am an they were ALL gone by 9am!! Made them again and sprinkled a little Italian salad dressing on the lettuce for some more zing. Everyone loves them and can't believe how easy they are to make. This one is a keeper!

Cold Green Bean Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2004
So good and SO EASY! I used french style green beans and zesty italian dressing since I like a lot of "zing". Even better after sitting in the fridge overnight!

Barbecue Butter Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2003
My husband is a butter bean fanatic so if HE likes this recipe, it has to be pretty good! So easy to make! My oven is "hot" so I checked on them every so often to make sure they didn't get too dry or burn. This one's a keeper in our house.

Baked Scallops

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2007
Very quick and easy recipe. I'm not a fan of scallops, but my boyfriend loved this recipe! Followed the advice of previous reviewers and decreased the amount of butter. Also, didn't have any Parmesan cheese but apparently it was alright without it! Will make this one again!

Golden Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
This is a great recipe. I didn't have American cheese so I used some sort of salsa flavored shredded stuff I had on hand. I also "mashed" some of the potatoes because I like a REALLY thick soup. This one's a keeper!

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2008
Followed the original recipe (as I always do the first time) and it was great! Shredded the pork the next day, added some Kansas City bbq sauce I brought with me when I moved and had sandwiches. This is the only way I'll make pork roast from now on!

Quick Chick!

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
May have solved the "needs something" comment from some previous reviewers. I added McCormicks Herb Chicken Seasoning and some onions! (I'm sure any poultry seasoning would work.) The sauce was pretty runny but nothing a little cornstarch couldn't fix. Overall, this is a quick, easy meal with almost no prep and all kinds of possible variations. This one is a keeper!

No Beans About It - Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
Was very happy to find a chili recipe that my boyfriend (who won't eat beans) and I (who loves beans) could both agree we liked! This was very easy and tasty. We'll be making this again with the cold, winter months approaching!

Chicken Creole with Chile Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
We loved this dish! Its simple and very tasty. Substituted jalepenos for the chilies (because that's all I had!) and added extra Cajun season (because we like it hot!). Very pleased with this one!

Crab Dip II

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2003
I had a ton of crab so I doubled the recipe for a pool party. I was concerned about the large amount of dip but the entire bowl was gone by the end of the party! Everyone raved about it and asked for the recipe. This one has a permanent home in the recipe box!

Southern Ham and Brown Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2003
Yummmmmmmmy! I took everyone's advice and let it cook for six hours. I did end up having to add more water (difference between electric range and gas maybe) but it was wonderful. I added some worchestershire sauce and a little garlic powder. My husband LOVED it....and he's not a big fan of pinto beans!
