Diet Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2003
I had been looking for the "negative calorie" soup recipe and I think this may be it! Very good! This one's a keeper!

Ham Spread

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2003
Not too bad! I have been looking for a ham spread recipe like my mom used to make when I was a child and this one may be a good place to start. Will have to "fiddle" with it a bit!

Southern Ham and Brown Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2003
Yummmmmmmmy! I took everyone's advice and let it cook for six hours. I did end up having to add more water (difference between electric range and gas maybe) but it was wonderful. I added some worchestershire sauce and a little garlic powder. My husband LOVED it....and he's not a big fan of pinto beans!

Chicken Creole with Chile Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
We loved this dish! Its simple and very tasty. Substituted jalepenos for the chilies (because that's all I had!) and added extra Cajun season (because we like it hot!). Very pleased with this one!

Scalloped Cabbage Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
This recipe was "ok" but we all agreed it was missing something. Maybe a cream of something soup? It wasn't terrible but it was lacking something.

Crab Dip II

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2003
I had a ton of crab so I doubled the recipe for a pool party. I was concerned about the large amount of dip but the entire bowl was gone by the end of the party! Everyone raved about it and asked for the recipe. This one has a permanent home in the recipe box!

Absolute Best Liver and Onions

Reviewed: May 18, 2005
I will NOT eat liver and am not real fond of cooking it but I will a couple times a year for my husband. He LOVED this recipe and, for whatever reason, it didn't seem to smell as offensive to me when i was cooking at as liver usually does! He may actually get liver more often now!

This recipe was a HUGE hit with my family! The sauce is great and goes well over rice as well as mashed potatoes!

Quick Chick!

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
May have solved the "needs something" comment from some previous reviewers. I added McCormicks Herb Chicken Seasoning and some onions! (I'm sure any poultry seasoning would work.) The sauce was pretty runny but nothing a little cornstarch couldn't fix. Overall, this is a quick, easy meal with almost no prep and all kinds of possible variations. This one is a keeper!

Diabetic Dog Treats

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2007
Super cheap, super easy and you don't have to worry about what your pet is eating! Shared the finished product with several "doggie friends". Everyone from the 95 pound German Shepherd to the 10 pound Silky Terrier now goes to their respective refrigerators when they feel the need for a treat! These were a HUGE hit, even with the finicky dogs! THANKS for posting this!!!

Cheese Soup III

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2003
Didn't have any American cheese on hand so I substituted shredded Colby Jack. Followed the rest of the recipe to the letter. Very tasty but a bit watery. Next time I will add A LOT more potatoes to thicken it up. The hot sauce is a great touch!!! All in all, very good, very easy and a definite keeper!

Meatloaf With A Bite

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2004
I added more crackers like others suggested but it was still pretty soft and crumbly. We weren't overly impressed with the taste although it's still better than plain ole meatloaf. Needed more spunk to earn 5 stars from us!

Made this for a birthday party at work. I arrived at 7:30 am an they were ALL gone by 9am!! Made them again and sprinkled a little Italian salad dressing on the lettuce for some more zing. Everyone loves them and can't believe how easy they are to make. This one is a keeper!

Not quite what I was hoping for. Followed the directions exactly and they seemed to come out a bit too oily for my taste. I'll keep looking!
