Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
I love this! This is perfect as is but i'd recommend doubling the sauce, using extra garlic, using UNCOOKED frozen shrimp, and some kind of green veggie(brocolli or sugar snap peas are great). This is my absolute dinner dish and everyone loves it! The only real work is cooking the rice for it. This is amazing. Oh, if you do you cooked shrimp, be sure to not overcook it or it may be rubbery. Thank you so much for this recipe! (:

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
This was delicious! The only thing is that I wish the batter part was crispier. I used strawberries and frozen blueberries. Instead of granulated sugar on the top I used about 1/4 of a cup of brown sugar ( I baked it in a 13 by 9). I served it warm with vanilla ice cream. I'll definitly make this again because it was incrediably easy and yummy!

Bake Sale Lemon Bars

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
I LOVE THESE. They are the greatest things in the world. They remind me when i was little and my older sister use to make them for me. I used a little less lemon juice since i didn't want it to be too tart. They are so good! They are creamy, ooey and gooey! LOVE THEM!

Shortbread Crust

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
I used these for teh bake sale lemon bars and it was delish! Although it was a little wet (may have been because of the lemon bars). If you make it with the lemon bars or something a bit tart, use a little extra sugar (a tablespoon) to the crust and it is perfect!

Tangy Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
This is delicious! I love the sauce with it even if it's a little bit bad for you. It had a really nice flavor and made for a delicious ham to serve my picky family. Don't be afraid to add a teeny-bit more of spice. It is the best! (: Thank you for such a fantastic recipe.

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
This popcorn, contrary to the great reviews, was an absolute disaster! When i put the popcorn in the oven, it all sticked together and could not get it unstuck, the bottom burned and i was hightly dissapointed. It may have been my mistake so i gave it a 2. All i can say is make sure you mix the popcorn and caramel when the caramel is HOT!

Peanut Butter and Banana Dog Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
My beagle loves these treats and he's a picky little eater. I added a little bit of oatmeal to the recipe so it would be a little less sticky and good for him too! They take a bit longer to cook (about 3 minutes longer). I added extra peanut butter and 2 bananas. I did add some honey but on a teaspoon because my dog is spoiled enough! haha. Best dog treat recipe i've made. (: Thanks for the recipe!

I love this recipe! I didn't grill it though. I put it on the stove top and put a dash of red pepper flakes for color and spice! Thanks so much for the great recipe (:

Apple Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
Loved it! I used a little nutmeg and brown sugar instead of white sugar. VERY good with whipped cream or ice cream. I made my own crust and it was delicious with the pie filling. When making crust, you should put some egg wash over it then sugar and it is the best. Thanks for the great recipe! (:

Caribbean-Spiced Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
This recipe was so good that my dad said he wanted me to make it again, twice in a week! That's very rare in my family especially since we always eat the same things (chicken, pasta, etc.) I made some changed to the recipe though. I didn't have lime juice or rum so i used lemon juice and tequila. I also put on the spices the night before and put it into the fridge so it could "marinate" sorta. and I put the spices underneath the skin (i did this by pulling some of the skin from the breast and put the spices under there and rubbed) so the taste would be amazing! Before i even into the oven, i put even more of the same spices on! I basted it for the time it said then i turned the temperature up to 450 so the skin could be crispy. BOY! this was delicious! I've made it two times and my family LOVES it!!! I think it would be great with cooked carrots with a touch of lemon on them and some white rice. yumm!! Thanks for the recipe.

Spicy Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2008
Fantastic recipe! i loved it! I changed the recipe to my likings though. I sauteed the garlic with dried italian seasoning then i added the onion until is was soft. I then added fresh tomatos and dried chili peppers and simmered it until it looked more like sauce. I added the pasta and mixed. Made this three times in the past month. I LOVE IT!

Lemon Blueberry Drop Scones

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2008
These scones were delicious. I especially loved them warm. I made a few changes though. Instead of lemon zest in the batter, i used about a tablespoon of lemon juice. I also added 1/4 of a cup of brown sugar and then the rest of the 1/3 cup was white sugar. Instead of Lemon Yogurt i used blueberry yogurt. It made about 10 scones. And a tip: When drizzling on the glaze, put them on a wired rack with paper towels or waxed paper at the bottom. Then you can drizzle the scones with the amazing glaze. It's an easier clean up.
